There has been a growing interest in Serverless computing due to the increase in developer productivity, built in auto–scaling abilities, and reduced operational costs. In combining both microservices and Serverless computing, organizations will benefit from having the servers and capacity planning managed by the cloud provider, making them much easier to deploy and run at scale.
This comprehensive 2–in–1 course is a comprehensive and all–inclusive guide to using the API gateway and incorporating it in your Serverless ecosystem. Create a system where the infrastructure, scalability, and security are managed by AWS. Reduce your support, maintenance, and infrastructure costs. Also explore the power of the Serverless ecosystem with AWS services including DynamoDB, API Gateway, and much more!
Contents and Overview
This training program includes 2 complete courses, carefully chosen to give you the most comprehensive training possible.
The first course, Building a Scalable Serverless Microservice REST Data API, covers practical solutions to building Serverless applications. This course will teach you how to build an end–to–end Serverless application for your organization. We have selected a data API use case that could reduce costs and give you more flexibility in how you and your clients consume or present your application, metrics and insight data. You’ll make use of the latest Serverless deployment and build framework, share your experience on testing, and provide best practices for running a Serverless stack in a production environment.

The course is amazing. It covers all server less services in AWS. Also the demo’s we great. The only place where I found a bit difficult is the place were Node.js were used (because I only know Python). But apart from that, the course was really great. The instructors were very knowledgeable. Thanks for the great course.

Much of the downloaded code used eu west 1 and there was no mention of having to change it. Also, many table names in the code had sam which needed to be changed.

Came to the course with some existing experience of AWS Gateway, Lambda and DynamoDB. I was hoping for more advanced content than what I found in the course. This is definitely a good foundation course for those who have next to no working knowledge of the AWS services covered but I didn’t find I got much more out of the course other than confirmation that I was doing most things correctly. I would suggest more attention is needed on the mapping of request and repsonse through the API Gateway, what should go in the Header vs. Request Body and how to use the (I find) infuriating VTL language for transforming response data. The course content is presented well although there is a little too much I am going to tell you what I’m going to tell you, tell you and then tell you what I’ve just told you in some of the joins between course sections.

Strongly advise watching all previews before purchasing, to make sure the presentation style is a good fit. But overall informative / good information though.
