Unreal Engine 4: Souls-Like Action RPG w/ Multiplayer
$29.99 $9.99Track price
With this world–wide lock down in effect, there isn’t a better time to sit down and learn how to make games in Unreal Engine 4 🙂
This course is designed for beginner to intermediate users of Unreal Engine 4 (6+ months of using the engine). I recommend that you have at least a basic understanding of the Engine. I move fast at times and I expect you to figure things out on your own by pausing the video if needed. Purchasing this course does NOT give you personal consulting from me for basic issues. You can always hire me for that separately.
Action RPG’s can be complex to create with many systems working at once. I’ve been working with the engine for many years, and it is my goal to teach you step–by–step how to build a fun, challenging action RPG from scratch.
Thanks to Epic, there are thousands of assets that are free to use. We’ll start by importing one of the Paragon characters from the marketplace. We’ll then use Blender to detach the sword and shield from the mesh and import it back into UE4. Don’t worry, I’ll teach you how to do this step in Blender. It’s quite easy!

Even though this course is not complete yet I’m really enjoying the teacher, he goes out of the way to really feed you information that does not get talked enough around the UE4 community. One problem I have is some videos have louder volume than others, but the content is very good.

Awesome teacher. Awesome support! Awesome course too. Loving it. I recommend people give it an try! Thanks for the great course …

I like the way Jeff teaches. Straight to the point, shows you everything he s doing and goes out of his way to help you. The discord support option is great. Gets 5 stars from me for that alone. But the course is also excellent stuff. Most tutorials I ve seen don t come close to the quality that this course brings. Highly recommended!

Its good so far.

Even I just begin start to learn this course. Souls like games are very popular in these days. Instructor’s explanation for this project is very clear and insightful. Very patient to answer questions posted on each session’s Q&A. He prepared the material quite well. I hope he can further open courses to teach some more interesting topic like implementing advance AI like creating realistic collective AI behavior in unreal engine 4. Level design, using new physics destruction system(Chaos) in unreal engine 4 since 4.23 to create more realistic and interactive and destructive environment, and real time ray tracing stuff in UE4.

I was a bit skeptical at the beginning, but this course is pretty good. It doesn’t cover in depth the multiplayer stuff, but has a really good foundation to start a multiplayer ready project and, after several lectures, the multiplayer stuff will start to make sense on its own as you start to figure out the logic behind what the instructor is explaining. The structure of the lectures could also be better, in my opinion. The instructor is doing a lot of this stuff on the fly, but he is really well informed on the subject, so the lectures are not that hard to follow up if you know how the engine works. Definitely a better course for what I was expecting, but I do not recommend it to beginners.

So far the course teaches exactly what was advertise with a bit of sage wisdom on the side.

I like Jeff as a tutor and learned a lot of new stuff.

Like your vibe man. I like that you don’t do things sloppy just to make it work for the video. It is so hard to find a course in any type of programming that doesn’t teach you lazy methods of doing things. I also like that you point out moments when most people would use a lazy method and explain why the correct way is better. I find the why is sometime more important than the data by itself.

Information is clear, videos are well paced, the instruction is easy to take notes on and follow.

So far so good. I’m really liking the instructor’s teaching method.

I was hesitant at first because I’ve purchased some flops in the past. But this course is definitely one of the better ones available. Instructor is articulate, and explains really well. Very happy with the purchase. Also he does stuff in the course most other ones gloss over or don’t pay attention to (like sound effect implementation)

Great teacher so far. I would recommend this because I’m using 4.25 version of UE and some other courses are using later versions.
Chris Hodges –
Concise. I’m building off of one screen. Alt+Tab back in forth. And I’m still replicating the work.

So far Section 1 has just been setting up the player character will await further sections to truly form an opinion, but so far so good

Course remaster was abandoned, making it really hard to finish the course I bought.
Onur Acar –
Incomplete course but Instructor’s way of teaching is quite successful, also NOT for beginners.

Jeff T you are a thief, I’ve bought your course and now I have no way to access it because you deleted your discord server and the website that was there to buy courses and learn. Thanks for stealing my money, there is no way to contact this clown at all. Was a very good tutorial but you my man aren’t a good person. Whoever buys this course beware of his scam.
