Svelte.js (or just Svelte ) is a modern JavaScript compiler that allows you to write easy–to–understand JavaScript code which is then compiled to highly efficient code that runs in the browser.
You’ll write your frontend application using normal JavaScript, following specific rules laid out by Svelte (which are of course taught in this course). As a result, the Svelte compiler will produce a small and highly optimized JavaScript bundle which can be deployed.
In this course, you’ll learn all about Svelte, how it works, its core features and how to run your final app on a real server!
Svelte.js is a tool for building highly reactive, modern user interfaces for the web – and it’s a great alternative to JavaScript frameworks and libraries like React.js, Angular or Vue.
What will you learn?
What is Svelte and why would you use it?
All the core features and base syntax
How to render conditional and list content
How to write reactive and fast web applications
All about components, how to pass data around and how to create re–usable building blocks
How to efficiently manage data in your application via Svelte stores
How to reach out to a backend server and send + fetch data

Good explanation so far, about frameworks vs. compiled Javascript.

Maximilian never fails to bring the best courses in this platform. The way this course was set is awesome a new clean instance of a project in each new section to learn the concepts, and only then applying it to the main project. It’s a very nice way to learn heoryand practice. The investment here is totally worth it, and I even recommend the other courses he and Academind have to offer.

Zefta Adetya –
as always, max is amazing
Daniel Rogers –
Very good overview of Svelte and Sapper. It really pulls things together versus just going through individual examples.
Atanas Tsvetkov –
Max explained very well from beginning to the end how to create modern web apps with Svelte! However, I’ll be really happy to see some examples how to test these apps in future. Excellent course!

I really enjoyed the course and completed it feeling I could start writing Svelte apps. In addition to covering the a good deal of the Svelte topics, I also appreciate the topics on deployment techniques. I like his practice of including his CSS as a download with some lessons. I need to improve my CSS, so I enjoyed studying them and adding them piece by piece to see what changed, even though that wasn’t the focus of the course. My only complaint was that some of the starting point downloads wouldn’t build. At first, I took it as an opportunity to become better acquainted with rollup and its plugins. That did help. But after a few times, it got to be bothersome. Perhaps a note to the students that, since Svelte and its ecosystem are so new, a word or two on rollup plugin dependencies are in order.
Brandon Buttars –
Very thorough and covers the quirks and specific reasons behind why things are done. Max is awesome! His examples are legit examples and not unhelpful ones.
Jeroen Dijkmeijer –
Hardly started, I like the course, but nothing new from the Svelte tutorial itself. Maybe there is more down the road.
Didier SZYLOWICZ –
Once again Maximillian answers questions exactly at the moment I’m asking it to myself… Almost as he was in my head… Almost frightning : ) VERY good job Thanks a lot
