Have you ever wanted to try out programming? Have you tried to learn Swift, only to get fed up with incomplete YouTube tutorials and poorly written tutorials? Looking to move your code from Swift 2 to 3?
THIS IS THE COURSE FOR YOU!
In my Swift 3 course, I will walk you through all the essential information you need to write swift code. I’m a self taught programmer so I know what it feels like to start from scratch. I care about your learning.
I believe we learn best by doing. So, in this course, every lecture is followed up by an exercise for you to test yourself. This format will allow you to actually learn Swift and not just follow along like a robot 😉
Swift was open sourced in December of 2015 so you can now take this course even if you are on a Linux or Windows computer!
A Modern Language Evolved from Objective C
Swift is a multi–paradigm programming language developed by Apple for use with iOS and OS X. Designed to replace Objective C, work began on Swift in 2010 and the first mobile app was debuted in June 2014 at the Worldwide Developers Conference. Despite its goal of replacing Objective C, Swift is capable of working alongside the more dated Objective C language while using the Cocoa and Cocoa Touch frameworks.

Warning! This course will teach the very basics of coding, but barely anything about Swift or building mobile or desktop applications with it. The quality is great and the pace probably fits total beginners but it should be about 3 times this long to actually be useful.

Good presentation skills, but way to basic stuff.

I am just starting, this course, and Swift is a new language for me. Nick, teaches in a way that makes logical sense.
Karan Minaie –
He really enjoys what he does and cares about the users’ learning. I hope this course continues to have the same positive energy and feel that it has had so far!
Michael Brown –

Eugene Lee –
condign perspicacious lessons with impletion with practical topics
Charlotte Ward –
Very motivational. An excellent opening chunk.

I am already a Java Developer, so for me the course was very basic. There was no explanation or section about Optionals in Swift, which I think is kind of important. But for someone who is just getting into programming for them I think it’s a great course.

The instructor is exactly what I’ve been looking for. He understands my situation as he too has been in it and with this his teaching is so ideal and perfect for me that coding has never felt so achievable. I honestly now have faith in myself.
