You can always count on Mark to deliver ,with calm and clarity, courses that are perfect for beginners. This is not different from the many previous ones.An apple computer/tablet is required to get the best of this course, but for the ones like me who wanted to experiment with this programming language and do not have a mac it is possible to download a swift compiler for Windows 10 that works as well.It can be downloaded from : https://swiftforwindows.github.io/ and it is really self explanatory and easy to use.It is a reputable site and perfectly safe. For the ones that already know a programming language ,for instance Javascript, there are many similarities and that will make learning this one much easier and quicker.

Mark starts off right away with coding, no long explanations in front, just DO IT. That s my favorite way of learning things. Good job Mark!

Brief and fast, yet easy lessons.

This is an excellent course providing an introduction to Swift, the language of iOS development. Mark Lassoff does a great job of going over fundamental Swift (actually fundamental programming) concepts, including: variables, data types, conditionals, loops, functions, object oriented programming data structures, strings, and character handling. Again, this was an excellent course. The only way that I can think of to make the course better would have been to conclude the course with a project that would incorporate the material provided in each of the sections. Perhaps Mr. Lassoff will do this in his next Swift course. And I can’t wait! Again, my highest recommendation of this course to anyone wanting to learn the Swift programming language.

Mark the Instructor gets right to programming. Easily digestible chunks to start off the course. Explains everything he’s doing. After I finish a section I feel quite confident moving on to the next Section that I will be able to complete the assignments. This is a great introduction to the Swift programming language. At the end of the course you’ll feel very comfortable trying some more advanced tutorials and in short amount of time you’ll be building your own iOS apps. I can’t wait for the intermediate and advanced course from FrameworkTV

Easy to follow, and not bogged down with extraneous stuff. Mark jumps right into Coding with Swift/Xcode in a way that helps even novice programmers understand both the IDE and the iOS app building blocks covered in each lesson. I appreciate that Mark is clearly excited about the course material, not just going through the motions like some other instructors on udemy. Another plus…all code demo screens are large and easy to read.

This is a great course for someone that has never programmed before and wants to get the basics. While it’s focus is on Swift, this course is focused mainly on basic programming concepts so it will work for anyone starting out with programming.

Easy to follow

It s not my first course I ve taken that was taught by Mark. His teaching style is very relaxed and it s easy to learn from the floor up without fear of failing. This course is no exception. Very concise, easy for any beginner to follow along despite not having any coding knowledge. I would recommend this course to anyone.

This course is designed to be easily understood regardless of your background. Information is well presented at a good pace. The instructor’s manner is very encouraging and the material you are given is well structured and progressively presented.

Mark Lassoff is a great teacher. He works with the code and shows you how everything works. He moves fast enough that it stays interesting but slow enough that you can understand the concepts. I also like the resources provided. They let you quickly and easily follow along with the videos. It’s important to do the labs! I noticed that the way the labs are structured, they help you learn additional things that were not expressly covered in the lessons.

This course presents the concepts clearly and effectively. Step by step and through examples you learn the fundamentals of language
