Let’s build a real iOS app using SwiftUI with all of the latest SwiftUI features!
In this course you will be building a functional iOS Tinder clone with most of the features of the real app. The focus of this course is learning & perfecting SwiftUI concepts. You will learn how to build beautiful and complex views using Apples latest user interface framework. SwiftUI is the future of iOS development so it’s time to add this skill to your developer portfolio!
The best way to learn iOS development is to build real applications. This course will teach you strong architecture fundamentals and you will learn how to efficiently load & pass data around a larger app with several screens.
To keep the focus on how to build views with SwiftUI, we will skip implementing a server or a networking layer. We will be loading our data locally to render our UI. With the clean MVVM architecture, you will easily be able to implement your own networking layer without having to refactor any code.
Technical Specifications:
* Xcode Version: 12.2
* iOS Version 14+
* Minimum MacOS 10.15 required for SwiftUI previews. I’m using Mojave 11.2.1
* Architecture followed: MVVM
* Swift 5
What is SwiftUI?
Apple has provided this new framework as a way to quickly build beautiful user interfaces for any Apple device using just one set of easy–to–use tools. With the new declarative syntax of SwiftUI, it takes less code to keep your code and design perfectly in sync.

I really love Nikitas style of course. I am quite familiar with SwiftUI already, but he has so many cool tricks and tips and different ways of doing things to learn. A nice steady, clear and concise way of explaining too. Not sure it would be great for beginners, but I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to beef up their SwiftUI skills.

Great teaching style and very easy to understand. I love how much extra time you put into explaining different concepts. It makes learning SwiftUI so much more fun.

The TL;DR This course was great, almost perfect but with one flaw and it s not a small one. Mock/static data! If this course had come with a backend, even a firebase one, it would have been the best course not just on SwiftUI current available but the best course I have ever taken on Udemy. I m giving it 5 stars because the quality of what was there and not simply judging on what I feel was missed. The good: The course structure and delivery Nikita is engaging, the explanations are sound and make sense. The revisions along the way make sense too. It s handholding without feeling stupid, or assuming you re already well versed in SwiftUI. If my own mentoring/teaching skills were as good I would be proud. The course content is relevant and even if you don t care about Tinder itself you will learn common features found in many successful apps. The not so good: Working with static data is great for local development. This course was such a high quality in what to delivers that it feels like an absolute shame to close out on an app that s using static local data in mocks. I feel like some of the areas highlighted as a place for network calls would have been revised and further explored great app design by including that networking layer. Final Thoughts: Q: Is Nikita s course worth your money? A: Absolutely! Q: Did I get this course free for a good review? A: No, I paid sale price (12.99GBP) Q: Would I buy a course from Nikita again? A: If this is the benchmark he s setting then yes without question I would buy again. Q: If I had a magic want what would I change? A: Only the inclusion of a backend of some sort to make it actually a real app. Fabulous stuff Nikita. Thank you. I loved it.

The teaching was superb. All the material was explained very well, and every lesson included a quick recap at the end which i found to be quite useful. Fantastic job!

I will happily rate higher if things come together. I have honestly taken over 30 classes from Udemy to Stanford this year and over 1,000 lectures, with absolutely no prior knowledge of coding in order to stop paying people to mess up my app. This has been a Brutal year because none of this comes naturally. I m much better at Creation and design. With that said, I have never seen this approach to programming SwiftUI. I hoped this class would teach me some things others haven t along the way and have to admitted I was pretty stunned that I could be so lost in lecture 1 after a year of this. Again, it comes very hard to me but I couldn t believe it was just constant coding phrases I had hardly heard of, much less begin with. The last class I took was a Twitter class & we had tabs up within minutes so simply…. but again I m still giving this a chance because maybe this is Much more in depth things I need to know. I literally looked to see if this had been done a few years ago and was surprised it was so recent with SO MANY STEPS WITHOUT ANY CLEAR VISION OF WHERE each ARE GOING and WHY before the confusion , Which might be helpful in following along. Fingers crossed because I m going to try and hang in here.
