In 2016 I had a vision of building a marketplace application. The only problem was that I had no technical skills and not enough money to pay a developer. I was lucky enough to discover Bubble and within 6 months I had learned Bubble to an advanced degree, was accepted too and completed a tech accelerator program and within 1 year raised VC funding and launched my startup. I did all of this along side other startup companies who were spending tens of thousands on developers. I’d like to teach you how this is possible with the right attitude and motivation.

Gregory did a great job on this course. I was looking for documentation on bubble.is and i feel like the tutorial on the website are really poor. I appreciate the fact that Gregory paid attention to details to create a pixel perfect application. Even thought the prior objective is to learn bubble.is it’s great to build something beautiful. The best Bubble course on Udemy. I like Gregory’s teaching style. He explains everything slowly and in details. The other courses are just too hard to follow. When a new concept is thought you need to give time to the student to think and understand what you have just show them and the logic behind it. The visual programming is all about logic like the regular programming if you speak fast and click quickly on all over the place then the student need to pause, go back and repeat the video to get the idea. Teaching is a talent like singing or you have it or you don’t. Well done, Gregory keep the same style.

I really enjoyed this course! I was on the fence about taking it because I wanted to take one that covered a wide amount of features and complex problems. I was pleasantly surprised by how many features the instructor covered and loved how the instructor showed different approaches to a problem. The teacher was a patient and really took their time explaining the concepts. What could make this class even better would be to challenge the students a bit more so they don’t fall into simply mimicking the lecture. I found myself pausing the video quite often juuuust before the solution was presented to a task to give myself a chance to work through it first. It really helped the lecture sink in and gave me a chance to test how much I had learned and identify whereI was getting confused. It would have been great to have breaks in the lecture to pause the video and attempt the task before providing the solution. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Thanks for being awesome!

The instructor is very disorganized, he is always trying to figure things out on the screen which shows a lack of preparation before each lesson. He’s also very poor at explaining more complex concepts, and when he finally figures something out, he just runs through the explanation. And I find it annoying that you can hear every time he swallows saliva. 🙁 It’s a very unpleasant thing mate.

Despite the difficulties of taking the course in English because I am Brazilian and the caption of the course is also in English, I was still very satisfied. I suggest that in the future Udemy provide an option for simultaneous translation of the language for those Brazilians who are not proficient in English to enjoy content as relevant as this.

As someone who has tinkered with design tools for years, and have some experience building CRM systems (as a power user/light dev), this product (bubble) seems to exist at a perfect intersection for me. The course was great. Zero complaints. Enjoyed every minute. My only wish was that there was more, or a subsequent course to purchase that gets more advanced. For instance, immediately after having completed the course, i’m still unsure how to configure the Teambase app such that multiple organizations can sign up, and add their employees. Or, how to setup payment processing and get people to pay for the service. Or, how to make the application itself more mobile friendly etc. etc.

Very clear and straight forward. Some of the types of things he was clicking aren’t very clear, and I had to watch it 2 3 times to get it right…but I am very new at app making, so I’m probably slower than other people. One thing I might suggest is at the beginning of the course, give a quick over overview of mobile apps, and all the different developing skills we are going to learn (i.e. sign up forms, repeating boxes), and which skills run which type of pages. I always like to have a bird’s eye view of what skills I’m going to learn, and what each skill is good for.

As a total beginner I found the course to be a very good introduction to Bubble, and Gregory to be a first class tutor. My only criticism is that because the course seemed to cover quite a lot in a relatively short amount of time (to me at least!), I felt at the end there were certain key areas that I didn t truly understand, and which I felt more time could have been spent on, particularly the workings/behaviours of group hierarchy, and the all important workflow section, especially with regards to the mechanics and terminology of workflow.
