Plain Simple and easy to understand

This course is useful as a guideline for the basic interface and view controls in x code however, it does not teach you the fundamentals of Objective C or Swift. Instead, Aaron runs through the code you need to write and describes what it does but fails to go over with you the most important part the syntax! For example, Aaron never discusses what it means to declare a method or even what a method is. Instead you find yourself blindly copying the code he is writing. This means that the course is very much a rinse and repeat. You’ll be able to replicate what he builds but not work any further from there. If you think this course will help you understand Objective C or Swift you are sadly mistaken.

Generally good, but leaves out a lot of needed explanation on Objective C syntax. For example, what is the function of the ‘alloc’ and extra brackets in something like [[UIDetailView alloc] init]. Or, why are variables/objects sometimes prefixed with an asterisk or an underscore or not and what’s the difference? It seems that the author is just typing in code from a pre written script and doesn’t care to provide details as to ‘why’, at least in many cases.

Great job Aaron!
