Very technical, very detailed, but this seems to be what I want from this course.

This provides a very good baseline introduction to the architecture of and concepts behind Matplotlib. It is very good for someone who has struggled trying to figure out why you can do the same thing three different ways in Matplotlib and/or that some of these methods can be intertwined. After struggling, this is an effective way to take your experience and put it into a mental model for Matplotlib that makes things much easier. You have to suffer through some long lectures. For example, the 19 minute Matplotlib demo at the beginning is more confusing than helpful and way too long. We don’t even get into the core material until at least 30 minutes of lectures which is frustrating. Also, this is dated instruction uses Python 2 notebooks whereas today the default is Python 3, for example. This causes some of the code examples not to run well in Jupyter notebooks.

Excellent course. Fast paced and comprehensive. Suggest moving from python 2 to 3 in your intro. People that are trying to learn Python will be turned off by a Python 2 and using P3 is not a seamless option.
