Are you frustrated at how rapidly the web design & coding world is changing?
Do you feel like your skills are becoming out–dated and you just can’t keep up with all of the new web languages?
Are you afraid your web design skills will become redundant if you don’t learn something new?
Do you worry that you might not have what it takes to learn something new and complicated?
My name is Brad Hussey, and I have been a professional Freelance Web Designer for more than 7 years, so I know what it feels like to worry about being left behind in the web design world!
I always the need to keep up with all of the new technology, web languages, frameworks, tricks, strategies and fads! I’ve seen it all…
But you can stop worrying…right here and now!
I understand the difference between a passing fad, and what’s here to stay.
And do you want to know what’s here to stay?
…Sass!
Sass is what’s known as a pre–processor language, and it basically supercharges your CSS so you can create flexible, clean and incredibly powerful stylesheets.
The entire purpose of Sass is to save you time & energy when styling websites and applications.
Why is this a good thing?

Mixins are not working inside this landing page project !!

This is a fun course that gives you more than enough to get going on your own.

Frameworks section was outdated but otherwise still relevant and I enjoyed the course. Sections 1 3 I learned ALOT! 4 5 not so much, but honestly, I think sections 1 3 are the most important anyways.

Brad is a great teacher, but this course relies heavily on Bourbon/Neat, which are unfortunately outdated. Moreover, he explains things very fast, which is fine if you pause and go back multiple times to keep track of what’s going on. I’d recommend this course only if you have some background on Sass, beginners would probably have a hard time.

Very good course. Although some version specific items may need some work depending on when exactly you complete the course it is not a huge issue. Concepts are explained well and you’ll learn variables, mixins, extend/import, the use of external libraries/frameworks.

it’s useful and straight to the point, I really like how short yet very useful the video structure is, it makes it easy to come back to for reference. thank you for your hard work.

I love this course! It’s a great intro to SASS, but it’s also extremely thorough in describing how and WHY to do certain things. A lot of courses tell you the how, but they aren’t super interested in the why, and that’s a really important step for my brain. 🙂 Thanks, Brad! Your courses are always the best!!

This course clarified SASS for me and helped me understand why it has advantages over plain css. I see how it can make my work better and help me code faster. If he codes a little fast, you can just pause or rewind to catch up. He’s funny and a good communicator.

The course itself is informative, sure. But the teacher is SO animated and has so much personality that it’s genuinely easier for me to pay attention. I’m actually going to peruse to see if he has any other selections after this course because the way he teaches is informative but also entertaining and keeps you engaged.
