Really good course! I’m a total beginner so this course was necessary for me. Kalob explains basic html issues in a simple way. Tasks after each department motivate my to work. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to start the adventure with web development.

Excellent. Kalob is a really good teacher who puts a lot of enthusiasm and motivation into his lectures and the course is well structured and includes regular exercises and quizzes. Kalob explains the context for what he teaches rather than just his is how you do it. I am someone who is updating my skills so some of the basics were too basic for me and went a bit slow (one advantage to an online course is you can speed it up so the instructor speaks twice as fast!) but a lot of it was new and useful and really interesting. I am glad I took this course and I would recommend it. The course at the time I took it contained the latest version of the lectures (2020) in the first 50% and then it started over again half way through with the older (2018) version that confused me a bit at first (but was not a problem). Kalob explained to me that he did that as some people may have been in progress doing the older version of the lessons and so he left them up there to enable those people to continue with them if they wanted.

Having tried a few other courses, including ‘bootcamps,’ I decided to try Kabob’s course, as it provides more hours of focussed content. While I’m only starting section 3, here is what I like thus far: 1) there is a real person talking (not a headless voice!); 2) the expectation of watching a lecture which will be followed by a hands on practice; 3) a quiz at the end of a section (nice!). A few negatives are: 1) lectures are not downloadable. If so, I could save my data allocation by downloading in the wee morning hours.; 2) HTML headings are referred to as headers in lesson 12. They are not the same thing.

I really enjoyed this course and found it easy to follow and complete at my leisure. The difference I found comparing to other courses is that my retention rate for the next day or couple of days was a lot higher.

I actually prefer the courses where Siri reads you text written in Marathi after they’ve been run through Google translate.

So far Goof in illustrating tools
Muhammad Hakim Bin Duraimi –
Detailed explanation from the instructor with a lot of hands on coding on various platforms. Each topic is short, simple and not boring. Not a draggy lecture. Straight to the point explanations. Will buy more lectures with him. Looking forward!

HTML is the starting place for learning web languages. I took this course as a refresher on HTML I had last used the language back in 2007. For anyone new to HTML, I’d say this is a very good course that drives you through the core essentials quickly & easily. As you can see in the course description the videos are not too long and I found them very easy to follow. Forms was previously the most complicated fundamental when I originally learnt HTML, but it’s made easy on this course. Just like with almost all online courses, students are encouraged to search the net to further explore certain areas discussed within (e.g HTML entities). Don’t let that put you off, as it will be good practice for when you move onto another language. Consider checking out the complete list of attributes for the core HTML tags after the course is completed and play with them Kalob goes over the common attributes. I enjoyed each quiz and also the project at the end. The project covers a little bit of everything that was previously taught and acts as a good roundup. This is the first Udemy course I’ve actually bothered to complete. Probably in part because Kalob presents each lesson in a genuinely friendly manner. He does honestly sound like he wants students to complete the course and encourages them to use the course Q&A, if they have difficulty. He also shows students two pathways to follow for study progression at the end of the course, which was a nice touch.
