Some Student Reviews are:
Very structured and logical (July 2018).
Great Explanation of NN. Will definitely recommend to others. (April 2018)
Enlightening overview of how neural networks operate mathematically. (March 2018).
An Excellent Course (February 2018).
The NN is a Complex topic and the instructor explains the NN very clearly. The demonstration shows how NN learns from data in a very precise way. I highly recommend this course. (January 2018).
I just loved this course. The course is very well taught and is divided in easy–to–digest units. (December 2017).
More Student Reviews:
Highly visual. Good explaining. Easy to grasp. I can’t praise this work enough! Absolutely brilliant teaching material (November 2017)
excellently delivered step by step .. visually learning is very clear and easily understandable. (November 2017)
Very clear and straight forward. Course is a great first step to understand the structure of a NN, and how it works. (November 2017)
The course is interesting because it explains the basic mathematics of a neural network in a very simple and intuitive way. (October 2017)
Very clear, very interesting and keeps u motivated to learn more. (September 2017)

Very accessible explanation of the mechanics of a neural network, and great explanations and demonstrations of the basic concepts in Excel.

Basic, easy to understand, and logical. Allows the student to get a feeling for how the process works. More complex courses are so focused on data input and program languages that the actual working of the AI process is easy to miss. My only criticism is the use of Excel Macros. There was no explanation even though Macro use was used extensively in the last few lectures. I was able to use Excel employing more manual techniques and feel I missed nothing regarding the purpose of the course, to gain an elementary understanding of the workings of an AI program.

Rozpoczalem nauke Pythona, aby moc programowac NN w tym jezyku. Kurs ten jest bardzo pomocny w zrozumieniu pracy Neural Networks. Polecam! I began to learn Python to program the NN in this language. This course is very helpful in understanding the work of Neural Networks. I recommend it! 2 uwagi. Sekcja 4 wyklad 26 1 minuta 26 sekunda patrz pasek formuly, czyzby blad? Ponadto kolory warstw w arkuszu 3 i dalsze moga byc takie same, ale kolory warstw w arkuszu 2 powinny byc inne. Pomocne jest to przy sledzeniu wpisywania formul w arkuszu 3. Zmienia sie zawartosc jedynie paska formuly, uwazam, ze przechodzac do arkusza 2 zmiana koloru warstw ulatwila by sledzenie narracji autora. 2 remarks. Section 4 lecture 26 1 minute 26 seconds see formulas bar, is it error? You can see: +H8*I8*+H9*I9*H10+I10. In my opinion should be: +H8*I8*+H9*I9*+H10*I10. In addition, the colors of layers in sheet 3 till sheet 10 may be the same, but the colors of layers in sheet 2 should be different. This is helpful when following the formulas entry in worksheet 3. Only the content of the formulas bar changes, I think that by going to worksheet 2, the change in the colour of the layers would make it easier to follow the author’s narration.

Nice course. Usefull for newbies to NN concepts as I am. Maybe, adding a little example on how a NN deals with a second row of data and manages the overall output could be usefull to understand, even better, how a real case NN works. I don’t give 5 stars because I found many lectures with the voice record a little bit…messy. Anyway I would buy it again.

This course does what it claims to do very well. It’s a simple explanation of how Neural Networks work. I’ve had a lot of friends who just want a basic and simple explanation of how the math works. This course provides that. I haven’t really seen another source that provides this. There are a couple of spots where some basic calculus knowledge might help. I don’t really see any way to avoid that, and it’s kept to a minimum. You’ll understand 95% of the content without that knowledge. There are a few typos, and a couple of quiz questions could be worded better. Not a big deal IMO. The approach of using Excel is really great. Assuming you’re familiar with that tool.

This is a very good introduction on how ANN work. It helps build intuition both on the backpropagation and the math behind it. A nice addition would be to have one extra chapter explaining how the chain rule is applied to get the derived formulas.

Las formulas a pesar de ser opcionales para el criterio de este curso, no son contextualizadas a ritmo apropiado, tal vez repasar esos v deos de formulas despu s como referencia pueda servir

I think it’s not enough to be a course. But.. It’s cool, and beautiful and very valuable for who wants to build neural networks by himelf to get full control. It looks like the istructor made a lot of effort to create the Excel calculations and visualizations, and follows these clearly.
