This is the partner course to the Complete Unreal C++ Developer, one of the most popular Unreal courses on the web.
In this course we focus on how to make games without writing traditional code by using Unreal Engine 4 and it’s powerful visual coding system known as Blueprints. We will be starting this course off at a beginners pace so you will need no prior experience or knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 or game development.
In the first section of this course you will have gone from not even having Unreal installed to making your first game: Marble Run! In fact, once you become more confident, you would be able to make Marble Run game in less that 15 minutes! That’s how easy and powerful Unreal Blueprint can be.
In the second section of the course you will be building another game, Crystal Cavern. You will be developing your own levels by editing geometry and using Unreal’s powerful lighting system. You will be populating your levels with actors that you have fully coded yourself through blueprints such as: pickups, cannons, projectiles & more!
Furthermore we plan to add a third section covering characters, humanoid rigging, weapon pickups and more. This will start appearing in May 2019, and will arrive slowly at around a video a week until done.

This course takes you through building 3 different game demos using Unreal. You’ll learn a ton building the first two game demos, and there is plenty of room for creativity and customization even just using the basic Unreal assets. The problem with this course is third and final game. It introduces so many features of Unreal that you need to make a real game using assets you make yourself or buy from somewhere, but it is incomplete. About halfway through, challenges become implementing whole pieces of the game and the solutions just give you a glimpse at what the instructor did before he moves on. If you forgot how to do something or didn’t quite get a concept, you’d better go back and rewatch an older video, because you won’t be shown again for reinforcement. The Mars Marine game is just a complete rush job, and it hurts the overall value of the course because there are so many things in it you really need to understand if you want to go out and make a game with your own assets. This still the best course and value for the money to get into Unreal, but the poorly made third segment hurts it overall.

This course has already helped me make tremendous strides in my Blueprint knowledge. Highly recommend.
Usman Baig –
Very engaging, informative, and fun!
Mark Lanier –
What an amazing course! The quality of content that we make throughout the course along with the pacing is great. The teacher is articulate, thorough and has lots of fun with the course! Compared to other courses that have a 25 hour + of video content the amount we learn here is spectacular. I feel like I am ready to take my game design ideas and rapidly prototype them through Blue prints in Unreal Engine 4!
Kyle Simpson –
Awesome use of blueprints and tools. He did a great job breaking down everything we used for the games. Unfortunately, we barely scratched the surface with blueprints, and I do wish we created a game that utilized more blueprint functionality. I felt that we were using just floats and bools 90% of the time, which is understandable for the games we were making. But I would have loved to put together a much more complicated game that utilized WAY more blueprints node types. Other than that, a wonderful course for beginners to get started with!
Fernando Alvares –
Really well planned and divided into digestible bite size exercises. I’m really enjoying it. Well done.
Aleksandr Petriaev –
Very solid and interesting course. Recommend

One of the best Unreal blue print courses. Very clear logic in explaining every detail, I’m not a developer but I was able to fully understand the blue print system, through the instructor’s clear instructions and perfect pace. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn Unreal engine’s Blueprint.
Alexandros Dimos –
Extraordinary course! After section 50 i could actually use and implement blueprints my self which felt really good. Loved the layout of the course and the challenges that were between the individual course. Knowledgeable tutor with in depth explanations and small reminders, this guy knows how to teach! Congrats, what a fantastic course!! Waiting for more!

THANK YOU
Benjamin Baird –
I have a couple of years experience on and off with UE, but starting this blueprints course, I’ve already learned a few tricks that I hadn’t known about!
Liam Wyatt –
For a long time I was really daunted by trying to learn visual scripting, it felt like an obstacle I’d be lucky to overcome or every understand. This tutorial has been great, the inclusion of the mid way challenges and quizzes really helps you to check you remember the information. Great course!
Paulius Setkus –
Great introduction to UE4 Blueprinting. It was easy to follow the course, and it was interesting projects to work on.
Alex Greenwood –
Very clear explanations. Thanks for the great course.

Amazing
Rob Hunt –
Great course but it felt like it ended early or it’s missing something. Still worth the money
Will Hannon –
Good
Michael Dolan –
Great intro course to Unreal!
Mohammed Ali –
so far so good
Dede Green –
Inzichtelijk boven verwachting.
Nick Shepard –
Very nicely laid out, good explanations, and enjoyable to work through.

It was a bit basic for where I am in my game development career, but I liked that it hit a large variety of things. Even if it was simple, I was surprised to learn even introductory parts of animation blendspaces, UI, materials, sound, etc. Usually I find that these are missing in most tutorials, where they just focus on simple game logic. Definitely a great intro into Unreal and Blueprints in any case, and I would recommend it to others, even/especially if they have no formal experience with making games.
Gabriele Ziza –
I really enjoy the course. It is really good to understand how BVS work. Challenges are great for memorizing everything you learn.
Yumnam Dimitra Singh –
It was a good learning experience. The instructor’s clarity and rhythm at explaining the concepts was on point even for a non native English speaker like me. Overall, it was a nice and solid introduction to Blueprints, learnt a lot from it.
Nicholas McCullough –
Some of lesson 3 is just a little bit rushed and I eventually did finally get to a part towards the end where I am currently lost at but other than that I think it is a great course for a great price and you will learn very much. Instead of leaving a negative review because I got lost on one part, I’m going to go back and try it again and I actually do hope that these guys make more courses for Unreal Engine because if they do, I will definitely be attending those as well.

This is an excellent course. No course on Unreal Engine could ever be complete, it’s so wide and there are so many different aspects to it, but this course does an amazing job at making you proficient with working with blueprints. I tried a few other courses and they left me confused, but here much of WHY you are doing certain things is explained in detail. I had no prior Unreal Engine experience and had never made a game using an engine before and I was able to follow along quite easily. Some programming exposure is helpful (I am an data engineer) but not necessary. Definitely one of the best and most comprehensive courses on blueprints, not just on Udemy, but in general. If you’re looking for a headlong rush to the fun stuff, this might not be for you, but if you really want to learn Unreal Engine this adds a lot of useful information to your arsenal.
Richard Wilt –
Great course. I love how much things were explained. There were some sections that moved too fast at times. And there were a couple things that seemed very important that I didn’t fully understand their purpose. Like the difference between Pure/Const and Impure functions and Casting.
Harrison Clark –
Good course so far, very approachable and easy to follow.
Omur Ozbahceliler –
So far the best UE4 blueprint course I’ve seen, however section 3 feels a bit rushed. Especially if you’re following along it gets really difficult. I don’t know how many times I had to rewind the videos. Again from Section 3, some lectures not clear enough. I can’t understand why we’re doing some of the stuff and it’s not very clear. Main objective should be students learning stuff, not you are making something work so you can carry on 🙂
John Harding –
An excellent tutorial series! I’ve gone from being lost at sea to having a really good grasp of the fundamentals of game design. There’s nothing quite like when you package your first 3d game and can open and play it on your computer, or send it to friends. Highly recommended!
David Leonardo Vidal Oleaga –
Wow. Just WoW!
Walter Kruger –
This course has made Unreal Engine a lot less scary by simply explaining what all these code blocks mean and how they affect what’s on screen. I’m excited to eventually move to the C++ series.
Princz Dominik –
Pros: Great guide! It was realy helpfull!! Cons: The guide is using an older version of Unreal 4. Does not include Fps/3person game tutorials. Just 2D/3D (top down view) ones. The 10 hour tutorial might seem a lot but in reality you can finish it in 5 days! Conclusion: Does not worth it with full price!! Get the first user discount which is 90%, its awsome!! You can buy it with that price tag trust me it will help you if you are as new to Unreal 4 as me 🙂
Tanja Wax –
Great course! Good to follow along and amazing learning value! Thanks!

Keirston D Nelson –
It is good a explaining. Very detailed. Perfect for beginners
Alexander Adelmann –
Material is very concise and to the point. I am learning very quickly. Blueprints is like any% speedrunning game design.

So far its pretty straight forward and simple!
Sanaa A Syed –
Very well explained, good pace!

Amazing and Fun
Rogor Light –
Great course, highly recommended!
Luke Ferguson –
Super good, love the structure and knowledge challenges!
Tyler Sloane –
Exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommended!
Jason Heijden –
Having had prior experience in UE4 this course is a good refresher. It’s slow, which should be perfect if this is the first time you are touching Blueprints.
Patrick Barragry –
This course taught me the very basics of Unreal Engine and helped me understand how the engine ticks. The challenges are very good, and made sure that I was actually learning from the videos. Thing is, I felt like the course was lacking in some areas. I felt like way too much time was spent on the Crystal Caves and not enough on the Mars Marine game. Maybe an additional game would’ve rounded things out nicely, like a first person shooter, for instance. Regardless, I’ll be sure to check out gamedev.tv’s C++ UE4 course and hopefully gain an even better understand there.
Jon Bundesen –
Amazing!!
Begad Wael Mousa Mostafa Hemida –
its a very quick and nice gateway to unreal’s blueprints i like it so far
Bruno C –
Well detailed the course, they explanations are easy to understand, and follow, I like the fact they give us time to try it by ourselves before he actually shows how to do it (we really learn instead of just copy paste)
Charles Capelotti –
With a new puppy, work, and a wife all needing my attention learning programming with zero experience seemed like an impossible task. The way the lessons where broken into 10 min sections made doing a lesson or 2 each day easy to squeeze in. In less then a month I was able to complete the entire course. Would highly recommend this course.
Thiago Mezanini Bertoni –
Sensacional! sinceramente nunca tinha visto um curso acertivo dessa forma, com certeza vou comprar outros do mesmo autor
Brent Asbury –
This course is a perfect introduction to UE and Blueprints. The pacing and clarity of information are spot on. I’ve taken quite a few Gamedev.TV courses, and this was one of my favorites.
Vincent –
Easy to understand!
Techer Guillaume –
Very good tutorial for Unreal Engine beginners that wants to learn gamedev with blueprints. It covers a lot of different stuff with very detailed explaination.
Enrito Gonz lvez Mengual –
ok
Krist fer var Knutsen –
It was a great course! Exactly what I was looking for. Everything well explained. Awesome!
Nitish Mathur –
Great
Mason Holman –
Amazing course, would recommend in every way to every person.
Togay Kurtulus –
I am about the middle of the whole course and i must say, anybody who want to begin with UE4 should have this course. Maybe Epic should be sponsored this course and implement their learn portal. This is the best tutorial i have even seen. Thank you guys, you did great job here! And do you have master classroom i really love to join you there. If not you should think about it. More deeper course for intermadiate people is the most weakest side of Unreal. There are tons of people who needs more complex tutorials all around the world! Thanks again!
Marty Clayton –
Much more complete with explanation than other tutorials
Kenneth Kam –
Easy to understand for beginner level. However, the course need more content like include 1 or 2 more projects, otherwise I would consider too short.
C. P. Baaijens –
As a web developer I force myself to conclude every step, even though for most things my mind tells me: No need to do this exercise, you know how it works! Make sure you follow every step and don’t skip any for the best experience gain.
Luis Augusto Ramos –
This will help in my game QA Analyst job as we move from Unity to UE. Great course, recommended.
Boban Mojsovski –
I’ve been working with Unreal Engine for 7 years now, although I was a 3D Artist/Lighting Artist. I used the material editor, but I haven’t EVER touched blueprints. I’m eager to start learning blueprints programming!
Heath Barcus –
I can’t rate this as what I expected strictly due to the last section of the series. Not everything that is stated that is going to be covered is covered. You don’t get to learn anything about putting together the intro scene, or applying the rush ability (although if you make it through the course it isn’t too hard to figure out how to do that stuff on your own). Would just be nice to see the project to completion through the course. Other than that it’s awesome material! Especially for those that already have experience with game development in Unity or some programming knowledge.
Fraser Neilson –
So far so good
Jerry Garcia –
It’s good so far. I wish the speaker and presenter went a little bit slower. I have to pause a lot and go back to catch up. Otherwise it’s a good course so far.
Chris Horn –
I feel some areas could be explained better post challenge, and some updates made to later engine version changes, but pretty solid.
