Gurpreet Singh Matharoo –
Great course for people who have experience with programming. Just jump into Unreal C++ development without going through coding basics again. The course first takes you through all the basics of Unreal Engine, its C++ integration, and the Blueprint system (even if you just want to learn C++, learning the Blueprint system is essential). So far I’m only on the basics sections and haven’t even started making a game yet, but I’m already learning so much. I feel like all of these basic lectures are required before you start making a game, because Unreal is a complicated engine and C++ is a complex language as well.

C++ is a challenge for me to understand as is, so I believe some of the concepts specific to unreal could be explained a bit more in depth. Otherwise, I am satisfied with the content I have explored in the course thus far.
Maya Laker –
The course seems interesting, and I definitely want to continue, but I am getting frustrated with the slow pace.
Juanjo Mart nez –
Great curse! best than expected. I not only followed well the curse, but instead i did everything more complex because the instructor teach you everything you need to make it the way you want. I hope to see a second part with more advanced stuff. 100% recommended to everyone who wants to learn how to use c++ in UE4. Sorry for bad english btw
Sergey Karpushin –
Wow, this was an amazing journey! Thank you, Stephen, for sharing with us such a great amount of UE4 and C++ knowledge. From the ground up into the full fledged high quality look and feel game! This course will teach you everything you need to know for creating exiting games in UE4. Now I have good grip of such concepts as Editor navigation, animation techniques, blueprints and C++ and I fill confident in making my own games! The pace is good and the content is awesome and Stephen will explain everything in great detail so you don’t have to rewind again and again. Jump in, you won’t fill disappointed!
Mavreon –
One of the best C++ course I’ve taken on Udemy, highly recommended.
Brad Cantrell –
I usually dont rate a course after the first video but Im sure this will be good.
Christopher Moss –
It is great to learn so much, and have so much base code to work from going forward. Concepts were explained thoroughly and it was fun!!!
Aron Thompson –
So far awesome. Explanations are crystal clear and I love the teaching style.
Stefan Frings –
Another awesome course from Stephen! It’s the best course I’ve ever seen about UE4 and C++. Everything is well explained and makes absolutely sense. It’s so much fun to follow and an exciting journey Finally, I ended up with that feeling: Yeah, I can do it!… And THIS is something I haven’t expected and to be honest: C++ isn’t easy, but with such an great teacher, it is ! Thank you Stephen for this great course!
Muhsen Delamore –
Tonnes of good and useful information on programming in Unreal. Thank you for that.
Luis Perez –
So far so good!
Shakir –
Very detailed explanations and very clear ones. Teacher goes slowly and Within a week I started to be able to navigate Unreal Engine quite well. So overall satisfaction level is very high. I think that this course can be complemented with ben trusters UE4 course in order to gain most in depth understanding. Always take 2 professors per topic.
Jinfeng Zhang –
This is a fantastic course overall. Although the last few courses are a bit messy and confusing, I learned a lot through this game. Definitely recommend to those people who want to learn UE4 with C++, this is the best C++ course on Udemy. Before starting this course, I’ve finished the most popular UE4 C++ course on Udemy. To be honest, Stephen’s course is better than that. Thank you, Stephen! Hope everyone can get their dream job! GLHF
Barry Kieth Ross –
Best course on Unreal Engine 4 on Udemy!
Torben Lund –
Yes, atleast with prior programming language, it is nice to get an explanation of how things apply in Unreal Engine.
Ryan Mueller –
The core information is solid, teaching how to navigate Unreal, create C++ classes, derive blueprints from them, and create a working game from those fundamentals. There are some specifics that need work: Reading documentation is significantly faster and a better method than searching in the Unreal Engine files for the header file you wish to include. Copying function definitions over for overrides without explaining what the parameters are is not helpful to understanding what parameters are being passed in and why, and is even worse when the engine changes versions and that function definition changes. This can be helped by explaining what the function is.
Christopher Cordingley –
It is easy to follow and understand
Peter Nguyen –
Great course for people who already have some programming basics under their belt and want to get into the unreal side of things quickly. Very knowledgable lecturer, and its valuable to see how someone else approaches problems to see solutions that may be different to what you would have come up with. Pretty much every issue will be resolved by the end so hang in there and keep continuing through the course!
Kane k –
good course, can’t thank more.
James B. Pollack –
thorough, lots of Q and A. toward the second half of the course, could have used an overview of here’s what we’re going to be doing in this section/video before jumping right into the coding. sometimes i was typing code and not exactly sure why. that said all of the code worked. there were times i needed to look at the QA answers to fix weirdness/crashes, but patience pays off and the instructor is very responsive to questions. i finished the course in about six weeks, doing it not quite everyday.
Milan Doubek –
Easy to understand, well explained pieces of informations… Way better than courses I’ve tried before. 10/10
Mortimer Aeinhardt –
I highly recommend having this course in your collection. It’s got great content covering lots of different areas, and the instructor actually talks in detail while working. I will say that the lectures aren’t described in the best of ways, as it is kind of difficult to seek out something in particular without knowing in which lecture it is. I use the course as a guideline or path whenever I wanted to work on something, kind of like a pointer to get me started.
Stefan Malinovic –
Good explanations for now
Alihan BA ER –
I don’t know anything about coding. so when they tell us about it, we need visual reinforcement to understand it. some of the videos that include concepts dont have visual support. I am like in a ocean… video 7 and 9 , i got nothing
C++ –
Good for complete beginners. Probably good for intermediate to!
Zaidabuzahra –
I honestly couldn’t have had a better teacher, great teaching ways, and the fact that he didn’t do everything possible like maybe the menu before the game actually starts, Stephen left us with some challenges for us to learn on our self. And I want to say this one thing to Stephen: Thank you! you will always be part of my journey
Sebastian H rmann –
Great course, excellent!
Sarina Donnelly –
Good start very detailed with everything. Can’t wait to see the rest
JohnnyStarr85 Starr –
Wanted to do this my whole life! Took C++ back in 2003. Bought you book as well. Really threw me on the Class methods. I was looking for friend modifiers. It was a really good refresher. Started running into problems in Chapter 5 so started looking for a way to contact you. Instead I found this. I hope it answers my questions. I’m very dedicated to doing this, and building and selling a game. I got at least five full game ideas that I think will be good games. And that’s just to start!
Ruan Thompson –
Thanks Stephen Your Courses are Awesome and you are a Great Teacher, Will see you in next one…
Dennis Crawford –
crashed my computer and can’t stop crashing it
Marie Allen –
Stephen is great. I’ve been doing pixel art for 8 years and programming for 2 years, so I’ve seen my fair share of teachers, good and bad. Stephen is firmly in that good camp, up there with Sinix and Marco Bucci as far as great teachers go. The best ones always seem to make explaining things seem easy. It’s not!
Manish Singh –
Excellent Tutorial. Manipulating Abilities with VFX, riding Vehicle etc. would be an excellent addition.
Kyrylo Kravchuk –
Probably, the best C++ UE4 course on Udemy!!
Alex Buiciuc –
I really enjoyed it. As a beginner c++ developer in unreal engine, I learned ALOT of valuable information in this course. Highly recommend if you actually want to learn the coding part in unreal engine
