Let’s say your boss at work gave you a task where he wants you to extract about 1000 product from a website, structure the data and save it to a database, would you copy paste manually all the product details from the product name, url and price ? Such a great course. As a data science student, I find myself needing to use web scraping to create or expand a data set. I love that LXML allows me to use XPath expressions, and it’s more lightweight than Scrapy. Ahmed is a great instructor. He responds to messages very quickly, and is very helpful. I highly recommend this course if you are starting out with web scraping. There are also advanced techniques like using recursion for pagination, and using Scrapy Splash to scrape JavaScript.
