Hector Aguero –
Buenas explicaciones. S lo esperaba comenzara desde la creaci n del theme, no desde instalaci n del xampp (Claro, podemos saltar esos primeros videos).

In general, I liked this course. Since in the tile it says for beginner, I couldn’t expect learning full depth of WP theme development in four hours. But when the author said, at the end of the course, students are pros by finishing it, I couldn’t agree. The basic wp template hierarchy wasn’t covered. The final theme developed in this course doesn’t include front page.php, page.php, single.php and such. It even doesn’t have a blog page. It may be considered more as single page webpage rather than fully functioning site. On the other hand, it gave me solid knowledge of custom post types and advanced custom fields. I took half of the star off because of leson #40 and #46, covering Field Type *Select*, where author chose hard coding some if statements, into the template, instead of retrieving the data dynamically from an array. Overall, it was good beginner’s course, but if you want to know more about this topic, take different course here on Udemy as Professional WordPress Theme Development from Scratch by Juan Pablo De la torre Valdez. I found this course much more complete.

1) the course is outdated, the first function I coded didn t work and I had to look up an up to date way of doing it. 2) you don t actually learn anything. He just says here s some code, this is what it will do, but does not explain that code at all, how does it do it? What does each section of a line of code mean and how does it work? I can copy and paste code off the internet for FREE! I d never be able to code anything for myself based off this course . You had better hope the outdated code he uses works, if it doesn t you will never be able to fix it yourself because he doesn t explain what any of it means. 3) He waffles on about things that don t add anything to the course and quite often says a sentence, then says sorry, then says that sentence again, not sure what that s about other than maybe his English isn t very good. Don t waste your money on this course , find one that actually teaches rather than expects you to just copy…..and be prepared to pause a lot so you can copy the code, due to no explanation of what he s writing he s quick to jump back and forth between the code and the website
