Absolutely amazing course. Packed with tons of valuable information. I’ve tremendously enjoyed designing the web application in both Photoshop and Fireworks. The advertisement of this course and the inner material of the course is identical meaning the course title, description, and more importantly, the final outcome of this course is absolutely identical to what he had promised to deliver on his promotional video. Result looks really, really nice, but I there were not to many new infos for me in this training. For some things there are also even better / more correct solutions now. For example as a recommendation by WP CSS / JS–files should (or must) not be included in the header / footer but in the functions.php via enqueue functions. Photoshop and Firework introductions are a little bit basic, and the CSS code is sometimes too redundant and more CSS2 then CSS3. All in all the teacher is nice and enthusiastic, but the code is not state–of–the–art anymore.

The first thing I noticed is the lack of support for fireworks… I can get past that… The second thing is that he calls himself a designer… Although he does have basic skills within PS and FW, it is a very basic design, and almost cookie cutter. I would expect much more out of a designer, and I’m not sure this instructor has the skills to do more. He makes many careless mistakes in the videos about design, including typos that he reads out loud multiple times (Office – Offer just to name one.) I am having trouble getting to the coding aspects to see if he is a developer or not. Not trying to be rude, or arrogant, but I paid for this course and expected it to be an expert conducting the video. I am a web developer and designer, but wanted further skills in this area, but so far only got very basic mockup knowledge for a poorly designed site. I have not gotten to the coding section yet, but I am afraid that it may be the same. This knowledge is free on YouTube… As a long time customer of udemy, I am beginning to question the screening process for instructors, or the lack of. Off to continue the video, and I will update once finished. UPDATE: Just as figured, this guys coding is way off and scattered. I think he needs to purchase a few courses himself. BUYER BEWARE!!! He clearly has no idea what he is doing… I am requesting refund.
