Agent–Based modeling is much simpler than machine learning. You basically just let agents interact in an environment and watch for any emergent behavior. You practically do not have to have any math background and you are able to create amazing things.
You can simulate society ( e.g. spread of virus, interaction of groups of people, of different individuals … ), ecology (spread of fire) … you can simulate chemical processes, physical phenomenons and more…

Great course!! I have never been even thinking that programs such as NetLogo which we used in primary school for educational purposes can be used to create something that is really usable in the real world. It made me familiar with the enviroment of NetLogo in no time. In my opinion this course is not meant to learn the basic syntax of this programming language as almost every other programming course but it is more focused on the possibilities of agent based modeling. As a total beginner, I also have to say that this course showed me the way of thinking which is behind coding (all of those phases from thinking how it should look like to actually coding it). It is surely worth spending that one hour on that course. It showed me kind of a new point of view on the IT world.
