Jean–Marc Haazen –
Nice course lots of information, but since i’m a complete beginner to Game Maker, it sometimes gets a little complicated, so i advise to first fool around with the software a bit before trying to complete the course.
Prodyut Das –
Very nice and imformative and easy going
Steven Thomas Moses –
I find the course a good introduction to Game Maker 2 and in small enough chucks I can do it on my scedual.
Sebastian Flores –
I think so, after increasing the speed of the video, its so much easier to follow along.
Tommy Owens Chapman –
it was a pretty good
Radu Mirea –
Course is good but leave me the impression that it’s missing structure in explanations.
Michael T –
I like how well you are explaining everything. It is helping me learn way better than Youtube!
Dursuncan gokkaya –
Really like how, the game devs explain basically each code is written out so you can understand the logic behind it, some code are more confusing to understand with all the variables being inputted, but it all comes down to practice
Yan Lee –
This course was very nice and detailed. I learned a lot from just 10 minutes of the course. Thanks!
Jayaraman Seshan –
Really good teacher

Yeah, I’m loving it! Wait for my whole review after the course.

It’s, in general, a well designed course. Aaron could give a bit more intuition about the statements he wrote, though. It doesn’t matter, I recommend the course to anyone who wants to get involved in game development.

This is a very good course for beginners of Game Maker Studio 2. The instructors lead you through the basic skills needed to make a game in Game Maker Studio 2 using the GML programming language. In the end you have built two games. Both instructors are very experienced and are very good. There are lots of video’s and walkthroughs and tips. Enough to learn the basics and even more. As someone with an intermediate level of understanding of GMS2 and GML I even learned a few extra tricks. Although I can highly recommend this course, there are two relatively minor improvements: 1) Sometimes mistakes are visible instead of deleted in editing. Although some mistakes are helpful to the learning process, I considered this a bit annoying. 2) This course are two hands on courses. Thus it lack a clear plan or Game Design Document which would also be a bit more professional. Nevertheless, 95% score is excellent! Sincerely recommended. Enjoy the course while you design your own game at the same time.

I’m new to using game maker studio 2 and I’m having fun and learning a lot from this course.

I have learned so much from this class. I took one last year and the teacher was all over the place adding code and not explaining what he was doing. Half the stuff didnt work and the overall content was nowhere near what you are doing. Thank You so much.
Noah Buller –
Was having buffer issues with lessons on my computer. Was going to do them on my phone when I saw there was an app. Application works far better. The Lessons do their job.

to start, i learned a lot with this series! while i definitely have much more to learn with gamemaker. this course provides enough knowledge and content for you to begin starting to work on your first few projects to completion! ben’s part of the course is fantastic. extremely easy to follow and his visual examples assisted me greatly in understanding the logic behind the code. i would say this course is worth already just from his part. aaron’s course was a bit more complicated, which is understandable because the game was more complex. but compared to ben he was a bit harder to follow with, had to rewatch his lectures a couple of times to fully understand. but once you do its smooth sailing. but i do wish the lecture end quizzes were more challenging. overall, i fully recommend this course especially if you come from 0 background experience in coding and programming (like me)
Jeremy Schnaidman –

pretty good
Emily Yemtseva –
I like it very interesting

The course is very good so far. I’m making sure to take notes along the way so I can recall the variables and functions I’ve learned and refer back to them later.
Jaden Anyanwu –
super
Ann Cheng –
The coding method is self explanatory and I actually surprised myself with the progress I have made in GameMaker with this course so far.
Joel Birch –
I literally know nothing about coding and this helps
