What is WebdriverIO?

The second part using WebdriverIO v5 was very repetitive after going through the entirety of the v4 material as he recommended. I appreciated that he talked slowly but there were many points where I wished there was an option to go even faster than 2x speed.

Overall I thought this was fantastic. The instructor does a great job explaining the concepts, not to mention he shows you webdriverio v4 and v5 which is handy to get a lot of extra practice in. The only thing I would add is that Jenkins uses a Jenkinsfile to automate builds, and this is what is in common practice with dev and devops teams all over. It’s important to know how to set up build parameters within the Jenkins dashboard, but the Jenkinsfile is probably the one that will be used in a workspace.

Webdriver IO v5 has already launched and most companies are using latest version. Your 80 85% videos belong to the older version Webdriver IO V4 for example, there are no videos of reporting in Version 5 that you added in V4. this is not worthy at all You should deliver what is currently in the market. Moreover many things are missing like report videos of V5 ,taking screen captures of failed test cases, how to handle single session for multiple test cases etc However, you explained V4 & V5 that is good thing also you have good skill of explanation but you could have emphasized on latest version.

Great course to starton WDIO framework. Explained the concepts very, simple and effective explanation.. Would have liked more if V5 alone was part of the course, switching between Visual studio and sublime made it a bit tricky. VS code was soo much easier and had to struggle a bit on debugging in sublime and switch to editor and engine back and forth. Nonetheless, great course if you are a nood in WDIO and get some basic knowledge.

This was a great course! I only had issues with most recent version of NodeJS v14.17.2 to run the examples. It would be great to revisit the installation and dependency part to be updated. Apart from that, this is very nice knowledge sharing!

In the first hour into the course, all I have been doing is debugging it. I’ve already installed Node.js v8xxx 3 times (as I’ve got errors like other users and they mentioning using a newer version). I believe I spent 4x more time than I should to set up webdriver, selenium and wdio. I would consider updating the first part of the course urgently!!!!
