Robert Hicks –
It was a very comprehensive setup and basic usage. I thought the how to group section was very good since that is usually skipped.

The course does a very good job of covering the basics of Java in easy to understand bytes of code.

I picked up an Oracle Java for Beginners book before hearing about this course. If I hadn’t read some of that book beforehand, I don’t think that I would have followed Mr. Collingbourne’s course very well. That being said, I enjoyed the course and learned a bit more than I did before going through the course. I feel the course name containing the words he Master Course was a bit deceptive, as I thought that the course would go a bit more in depth. Nevertheless, Mr. Collingbourne and his e book (which he offers for free with the course) were overall very informative and pointed me in the right direction for further study. He uses NetBeans as his IDE I prefer another. I wish that he had covered how to create the JForm shortcut in NetBean’s to create his forms that he uses like in every other video. I would have liked to know how to create a form in Java manually and for him to explain the syntax for that rather than use NetBean’s interface. Summary: Form syntax rather than NetBean shortcuts and a bit more depth in the overall course. Loved learning from Mr. Collingbourne.

Very informative but not as interactive as I would like. If I were able to code alongside the video I may have grasped it better but the code was already written and watched an explanation of it. Still good though.
Andrew Collins –
Excellent course, awesome quality.
James Nicholson –
Very clear explanations and code examples. Easy to follow and good detail of the concepts. Would like more interactive exercises and more detail for the more advance concepts like files and exception handling.

Fast paced. A little hard to follow, but good and can be repeated by students.
Kirtesh Patel –
The course covered lots of fundamental topics in a very simple way to understand and some ideas of what is and is not good coding practice throughout the course was, also, helpful.
Sergio Rueda –
talks too much and explains so little.
Shreyas Sahu –
It was well explained because it helped me to understand the advanced level of Java.
