I picked up an Oracle Java for Beginners book before hearing about this course. If I hadn’t read some of that book beforehand, I don’t think that I would have followed Mr. Collingbourne’s course very well. That being said, I enjoyed the course and learned a bit more than I did before going through the course. I feel the course name containing the words he Master Course was a bit deceptive, as I thought that the course would go a bit more in depth. Nevertheless, Mr. Collingbourne and his e book (which he offers for free with the course) were overall very informative and pointed me in the right direction for further study. He uses NetBeans as his IDE I prefer another. I wish that he had covered how to create the JForm shortcut in NetBean’s to create his forms that he uses like in every other video. I would have liked to know how to create a form in Java manually and for him to explain the syntax for that rather than use NetBean’s interface. Summary: Form syntax rather than NetBean shortcuts and a bit more depth in the overall course. Loved learning from Mr. Collingbourne.
