Become a Bootstrap Expert: Build 20 Layouts! (Version 2)

The instructor is excellent. Every time I had to ask a question, and I asked a lot of questions, he answered them in a quick and patient way. I am learning a lot from this course.

I saw the course did not have 20 layouts completed when I first purchased the course. I also saw the Instructor seemed to be very hands on with helping students asking questions. This led me to believe that the Instructor would likely follow through with the rest of the 20 layouts. I decided to write an message to ask him directly what his timeframe was and whether he would complete them, etc. This message was sent 6 months ago as well as his reply. I post them here verbatim because as of yet, there are still only 2 layouts out of 20. It appears this course is abandoned. Quite unfortunate. My only advice to other students is to be sure any course you want to enroll in is at the very least, complete. I have also been burned by complete courses where the content was very scant and literally just reading off the web site of Bootstrap. All I can say is, if it doesn’t feel right, get your refund ASAP, don’t wait otherwise the time to get refunded will be up and you will have no recourse. My question and response from Instructor follows: TO: Mr. Ajdin Imsirovic, I purchased this course, with the expectation that you would be providing the additional projects in the days/weeks/months to come. I saw that you had the beginning projects up and not the full 20 but I understood that and accepted that the others would be coming. What I did not pay attention to, was your version 1 of this Bootstrap course, which mentions the same 20 projects and that the course was under development and then noticing that people left reviews mentioning as far back as a year ago there was only 1 project and there are officially only 5 layouts listed in the curriculum. My sincere questions for you are the following: 1. Are you going to complete the rest of the layouts for version 1 of this course (which seems to cover Bootstrap 3, primarily)? 2. Are you migrating some projects from version 1 of this course, to version 2, thereby migrating from Bootstrap 3 and showing how to do the courses in Bootstrap 4? 3. What is your timeline for getting the remaining 20 projects posted? I do appreciate your time in answering my questions. I have seen your responses with your students and it is encouraging to see you work with them to help ensure they understand the content. I have had a bad experience with another instructor who supposedly had a Masterclass in Bootstrap 4 course and the short section on Bootstrap 4 was really just someone barely skimming over the documentation on the web site which I could do myself and then telling you if you want more information to continue reading the documentation. They asked if I had any feedback and when I gave them direct feedback they never responded to me. I kept my initial negative review to myself hoping that they would improve on the course as they stated it was under development but they never did. I do hope that you are able to reasonably complete the ambitious project you have set before yourself of getting these 20 layouts posted. I did have one suggestion, and that was if you could at the start of each layout, perhaps show what the finished product would be and perhaps go over very briefly (even just bullet points) which topics would be covered in that particular set of videos for the layout. De La Cruz, You are right about this being a very ambitious project. Since you have written an honest question, I will answer it as soon as I’ve seen it, even though I’m on a business trip right now. So to answer your questions, 1. I will complete layouts for version 1 of the course (Bootstrap 3). 2. I will migrate all 5 projects from version 1 to version 2. 3. The timeline for getting the remaining 20 projects is 4 months. I am glad that you’ve noticed that I really do try to answer all the students’ questions in a timely and detailed manner. I can only thank you for your patience and I can promise you that I will do my best to make it worthwile for you and other students enrolled in the course.
