Have you never programmed a computer before, and think or have been told that C is a good programming language to get started with. It is!

Maybe you have some experience with other programming languages, but want to learn C. It’s a great language to add to your resume!

Or perhaps you are stuck in a low paying programming job, and want to move up to a better, more senior position. Learning C can help you!

The fact is, learning how to program in C is not only an excellent programming language to get started with, but it will also make you a better programming in other computer languages!

Why learn C ?

C is often considered to be the mother of all languages because so many other languages have been based on it.

Though C is simple it is one of the most powerful languages ever created. Considering it was created over 40 years ago, it is still used heavily and is usually in the top 5 or 10 most popular and most widely programming languages in the world.

Learning C can actually make you a better programming in other languages like C++, Java, or C# by equipping you with a mental model of what the computer is actually doing when you run your programs.

By learning how things really work under the hood , and understand memory space, CPU architecture and so on, you can create more efficient programs, and obtain a huge advantage over other programmers in the process.

It actually clears all my doubt. Instead of reading class notes and practicals, I am just focusing on these lectures. I think this is sufficient enough to build my basics strong. Thanks a lot sir for this lecture. Hope will be taking your lectures on further programming languages in future soon.

It matched my high exspectations, yet the slides are abstracted too much and not condensed on the essential takeaways.

There are quite a few mistakes. Also there’s no point showing code on a power point slide and then going straight back into the IDE with the same code! Also this is how there are obvious mistakes in the powerpoint code…

The course was really good. I went from having no experience in C to being able to write basic programmes and understand problems in C. This course can be improved by including some pictures on the slides and a little more hands on programmes. However, honestly that is a very little thing and overall this course is amazing Jason covers everything.

Many, many lectures, and perhaps not enough visual representation of the code itself. It feels about 75% lectures, 25% programming. If there is a way to somehow combine talking about what’s happening as you show it, I believe this course could be even more effective, given that the content itself and the topics touched on are great, and I still learned a lot. TLDR; great content, needs better execution (feels quite slow).

I liked this course, but felt it could have been much better. Especially the slides. They are so boring to look at, I’d prefer simple animation and stuff for better understanding. Anyway, this course is precious in terms of content. I expected there to be a final project at the end where the teacher uses whatever he has taught in the course. But you as an absolute beginner can try this course if only you have no other better options available.
