Tutor makes a lot of confusing mistakes and leaves some topics unfinished. The gamepad section is a good example. We are told that we may need some extra events to make it work but we are never told what they are. It also feels very unprepared as there are a lot of ums and ahs and instances where the tutor loses his trail of thought. This may be the first course I have to request a refund for but I will stick with it for a few more sections in hope as there is definitely potential here

Fantastic course! Detailed and nice presentation. Many example projects (games) making this course suitable for anyone that wants to build mobile and web games.

Previous course by John Bura for the construct 2 was amazing but i still not finished the that course. Ii just purchased this latest course and expecting this course also amazing because of his amazing simple style of explanation. I hope i will make something good after this. Video Number 64 and 65 are same, please upload Video 65 again.

John Bura wings it without a lesson plan. He knows game programming but he can’t teach it to a beginner to save his life. He’s kinda like a nerd trying to ask out a hot girl. He trips over his tongue constantly trying to explain things in the abstract, then he says, essentially, if you don’t understand this, don’t worry you’ll get it later (but later never comes in this series). He doesn’t understand that every concept requires a practical example to go with it. It would be better off if he STARTED with a simple game that incorporated the most commonly used game commands. Talking about game commands in the abstract is like dancing about architecture.

I am writing this as of July 2021 DO NOT BUY THIS COURSE! When I got into the course, I saw that there were 128 lectures. I thought good that means that there will be a lot of detail. While they do go over a lot of information, I learned quickly that they didn t do any QA on this course. The second game you make had things not happening properly (even on the instructor s screen) and they never fixed them. Now jump ahead a few games and in the Gravity Platformer there is 2 complete videos missing (Lectures 98 104). Sometimes the instructor moves a pace that it is impossible for a beginner to follow requiring you to slow down the lectures and you start hearing extra noise coming through his mic. If I wasn t to far into it, I would request a refund.
