Here you will learn all about developing Discord bots! The course starts off easy and then gradually gets more advanced as it progresses – but I’ll be with you every step of the way! You will start with basic lectures, teaching you how to create the bot user on the Discord end and through your code, create commands and listen to events, and then move into many fun extras.

This course was designed for people with all levels of Java knowledge. Are you a beginner? If so, there is a whole section dedicated to getting you up to speed with the Java programming language! There are 5 lengthy videos packed with useful information and guided learning surrounding the language which you can take forward with you through the course. If you are at an intermediate level of knowledge then it is likely that the backend of the section may appeal to you. If you are advanced, just move forward! The course has been designed so that you can pick any video and begin learning without the fear of missing previous content.

I have personally been programming with Java and the Discord API for many years. Years ago, the Discord API was terrible. It had barely any features and was near–impossible for a beginner to understand – today, this has been significantly improved. I will be walking you through the revamped API step–by–step and ensuring that every feature is covered in detail. Once you have finished this course, along with a certificate of completion, you will be able to make amazing Discord bots with countless features to put on all genres of servers.

I love taking this course! I wanted to start doing some basic java whole also aiming for a finished product and I think this has been a perfect fit for exactly that. Thank you so much for making this course! 🙂 Update: Some of the lectures are outdated and the creator of the course has stopped adding updates to improve. It is still a very good course but you may find errors in some lines of code.

The course is really amazing, it is very detailed, the author goes on a slow pace (at least on the beginning) and tries to explain all the features…but not all the code. The author when doing a code starts explanating what he wants to make and simply types 3 5 different commands and that’s it, the code is done and working! Im not sure is this is common for people that know how to code but for people that doesn’t know any code language (like me) it is quite frustration to randomly type a line and doesn’t know what it is used for, or perhaps which logic to use when making your own code. Also the guide isn’t updated (please update for the sake of people like me that doesn’t know anything (yet) about the code itself!) but by asking on his discord and some quick google i could fix some of my code, however, my problem persists, i kinda want to know what is behind the code logic, like if i want to do this, first i need to get this and that to work. That way my work would get tremendously easier. Not a hate review, just a criticism.
