Product is rated as #25 in category MATLAB

With a programming based approach, this course is designed to give you a solid foundation in the most useful aspects of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) in an engaging and easy to follow way. The goal of this course is to present practical techniques while avoiding  obstacles of abstract mathematical theories. To achieve this goal, the DSP techniques are explained in plain language, not simply proven to be true through mathematical derivations.

Still keeping it simple, this course comes in different programming languages and hardware architectures so that students can put the techniques to practice using a programming language or hardware architecture  of their choice. This version of the course uses the MATLAB programming language.

By the end of this course you should be able to perform Convolution with matlab, perform  Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT)  with matlab, perform Inverse Discrete Fourier Transform (IDFT)  with matlab , design and develop Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters with matlab, design and develop Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) filters  with matlab, develop Windowed–Sinc filters with matlab, build Modified Sallen–Key filters,  build Bessel, Chebyshev and Butterworth filters,  even give a lecture on DSP and so much more. Please take a look at the full course curriculum.

Some of the theory in this course is based on The Scientist and Engineer’s Guide to Digital Signal Processing by  Steven W. Smith. You can download a free copy online.

More Matlab coding could be added, especially in designing of filters

The course does a good job of starting from the ground up (as the title suggests!) So far, it’s a little beneath my level of understanding, but I know it will build up to exactly what I’m looking for, and I look forward to it!

The information in this course is very interesting, but it is definitely geared toward engineering students and helping people that study signals. There is a lot going on in digital signal processing and I think it might be more for an intermediate skilled audience, familiar with RF signals. The content of the course is very good, and easy to follow in spite of the difficulty for me to understand.

Viele Abbildungen stammen vom Smith Digital Signal Processing Buch. Die Reihenfolge der Kapitel finde ich nicht gl cklich gew hlt. Die gezeigten Plots werden stets unvollst ndig gezeigt (ohne x und y Achsenbeschriftung.).

In some of the videos voice is very low and all the videos have subtitles delay. Otherwise course content was good. I was looking more for FFT which was not there in that detail in this course.

Very educational. I appreciate the filter characterizations and the breakdown of steps that describe filters and concepts such as convolution. Wish there were more Matlab exercises. Good Job. Marty

It was a good match, but I think more coding examples were needed to be shown in the Filter design part of the course.
