Git is one of the most popular version control tool available in the market. Git is Number One choice for every Web developer, no matter if you are a Java developer or a .Net developer or a Salesforce Developer, you will need a version control tool to keep track of the changes in your project.

Git is free and a open source version control system. Git is distributed version control system whereas the other older version control system like SVN and CVS are centralized. Because Git is distributed, every developer has its own repository on the local file system. With Git, first initial clone of the repository is slow but the subsequent functions like commit, diff, merge and log are faster.

Git has great support for branching, merging, rebasing. With the help of Git powerful tool set you can even rewrite history.

Git is the most common and widely used version control system in the world today and its the modern standard to develop software.

With this course you ll learn how to master the world of distributed version workflow, use the distributed features of Git to the full extent, and extend Git to meet your every need.

This course is not just plain –old power–point presentation, we will learn by doing and by the end of this course you will become an expert with Git Version control.

This course is very complete although in some parts it could be more detailed. In general, it is a satisfying course at all.

Excellent. Just wish she showed how to integrate GIT with Visual Studio, both Centralized and Distributed. Aside from that wish, she was very thorough and I finally get Git. Thanks.

Very Very Good course and its worth it. I would wish if Deepika can come up with some mores courses on Java Design Pattern( all 23) and some more topics related to Java (Spring , Hibernate and some UI stuff as well like JQuery and Angular JS), that will be of really help to the developers to understands overall tools and technologies required for a project. Thanks you so much Deepika for a wonderful course.

Course is generally well explained. The only problem I see is that my questions are not getting answered to clear my doubts. Other than that it’s an excellent course

Git fundamentals were well covered. The hands on example let you execute same commands on Git bash with your own repo. Also, BitBucket tutorial was a great example to work with remote version control. I can easily implement same knowledge in GitHub and Gitlab.

You can tell that Deepika has a lot of knowledge about Git, however after a while it is so so difficult to keep up with the course. Half of her stories are about how and why she creates changes in html, there are too many details about her user stories like it was important in any way to learn adding, comitting, branching, merging or rebasing. She repeats the same information over and over again, so e.g. instead of saying that user A wants to merge his work with user B and provide solution, there is a long, confusing, full of details story about, what, why, when repeated two or three times. She is also just talking too much to describe some simple concepts. My brain is spinning. Once I realize what does she mean I can’t figure out why she complicates the process so much. On the top of that Deepika has a very high pitched voice, which is totally distracting and I can’t focus on what she’s actually saying. It might be just a matter of adjusting her microphone when recording the course. There is also this annoying advert displayed in red color of her own website. When creating or accessing folders she’s using GUI which sucks big time. Why not to be consistent and keep using bash for that (eg. touch, mkdir, start). She is smart, knowledgeable and I really appreciate that she shows me GIT from different perspective, so I can learn new things that were not covered in other courses. However there is big room for improvement in terms of delivering that knowledge to students. Overall, I would not buy again this particular course, but based on her knowledge I will keep an eye on her future work. If you can go through the complete course you will definitely learn a lot. I also understand that we are all different and need different approaches. So what is too much for me, can be very useful for others. So my recommendation is to give it a try and see if that’s your style. You can be sure you will learn a lot.
