Gutenberg Blocks for WordPress and React Developers
$99.99 Track price
Recently WordPress decided to change their old WYSIWYG editor into a new ReactJS based block editor known as ‘Gutenberg’. Gutenberg also known as the block editor is based on blocks. So your post will be composed of some blocks and each block will have a purpose. You can have a block that displays a button or an image or some text and so on.
In this course you will learn everything you need to know in order to create custom blocks for the block editor. We will start by a simple block and then we will create some more complex blocks.

Ali really explains all the important concepts well. This course gives a really good bonus by making use of Webpack and setting up a workflow.
Very nice sessions. I can follow up. He is responding to my questions very fast. Very much impressed.

Course topic is great. Content used in tasks and experience communicating with author is not so great. Content used in course is random cat images and random typed letters. Author answers with questions about own content, making excuses and blaming student.

Course material is methodical, the tutor explanation is amazing!
Excellent course! It gave me a very good understanding on how blocks work and how to create custom blocks from scratch. But that’s not all. The most usefull parts are where the author is showing what to console.log, this is brilliant! Now I can explore it further myself. The Redux part was too difficult to me, but I know nothing about Redux, and only a little bit about REACT. So the course also showed me that I should now focus on learning about Redux. But anyways, even without this knowledge, I’m now able to to build some simple blocks, save the data do postmeta table, create block templates, deal with deprecations and transforms, make a theme work better with block editor, and many more things. This is great! Thank you for this course!
Good pace, well explained
Very in depth coverage of the subject matter.

Great course, at first I thought the voice would bore me, but now I think it’s my favorite voice to listen to. Just really clear, complete and to the point information. I’m really soaking in this course throughout the day, and when I listen to it late at night it helps me fall asleep 🙂

Lots of detail, good to have a broad overview too. I had continual problems with the resolution of the videos, often being to low to read the code. The solution was to reload the page, though on some videos this required a number of reloads. This may be a problem with broadband speed but I don’t have this problem when I watch videos on YouTube.

I’m not even half way through this course and I have learnt so much. Outstanding!

This is certainly the best Gutenburg course, and I’m sad I didn’t find it first before trying others. You don’t need to know React/Redux to take this, and he actually explains things and goes into the needed detail that most courses and tutorials skip. Easy to follow along and you’ll actually know how to build blocks.
