Relevant for 2017. This course is designed for folks who want to host a blazing fast static site on Amazon AWS.

In order to have a really fast database driven site, such as WordPress, you need an expensive dedicated server.

Many of us simply cannot afford a dedicated server. AWS gives us this power. It is true that a static site will be faster in any case but you are still stuck with high hosting fees. AWS again makes this very easy financially and when the time comes when you start to build a loyal following, AWS can handle high traffic.

This course assumes you already have a static site but if you don’t I will include a place you can find a very nice responsive template for free.

I have studied the vast amounts of AWS documentation and created this course as the much faster solution to understanding how to get your static site hosted on Amazon AWS.

As a boy, I had always been drawn to music. My family inherited a baby grand piano before I was out of diapers. As I grew up, I had always been curious about that piano. Sometimes we would have a visitor who could play, and when I heard the sounds that came out of the strange looking thing in our den, I was enamored. When I was a preteen, I started to bug my mother about taking piano lessons. After my parents were confident that my interest wasn't just a phase, my piano journey began. I studied the Suzuki method during the first years of my piano journey, an excellent method as far as I'm concerned. Only problem is that you must find a nearby Suzuki teacher. I excelled as I studied and I continued all the way through high school. When I entered college, I couldn't decide if I wanted to study music or business, so I studied both. My main focus was music and by music I mean piano. When I graduated, I became a piano instructor at a well renowned music conservatory. It was an excellent job and lots of fun. I did notice that several students were being forced to take lessons by their parents which meant the kids wanted nothing to do with the instrument. That fact alone was a large opportunity for me. I began to teach piano students songs they knew, not some random classical piece they knew nothing about. Don't get me wrong, classical is magnificent and I plan to offer it in my web catalog. The fact remains that students want to learn what they hear on TV, the radio, internet, friends, and many other media outlets. Because of the ear training that I gained from Suzuki and my years of musical studies, I can teach you how to learn your favorite songs and show you how to figure out how to play them just by listening. Simple instructions clearly demonstrated step by step. He speaks clearly and has a pleasant voice always nice when the teacher’s voice aids learning instead of being a distraction. If your goal is a cheap, static website up and running fast this is the course to take. Well worth the $$.

This course is very fast paced and direct to the point. It doesn’t go into a lot of detail, but you can find tutorials on youtube and on Udemy to explain more in depth whatever you are missing. One thing this author didn’t go over is AWS hosting prices in complete detail. He does say a little bit about pricing, but if you do go this route make sure you do a lot more research before you delve in and not be amazed at just how fast the server is. This course went so fast that it was finished within an hour. I thought that might be good, but in fact it left me wanting more information not covered in the course.
