Instructor Details

Raf Porntoy is currently a Senior Vice President of Technology at Anti-Defamation League, being responsible for Applicaitons, Tech Operations, Marketing technology and IT Secuirty of this premier international civil rights organization. Prior to ADL Raf was a Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Safe Horizon, Inc., largest social services agency in US, focused on issues of domestic violence and child abuse. Prior to Safe Horizon he was a founding CIO at the SUNY Global Center, an international think tank, focused on issues of globalization and commerce. And prior to the SUNY Global Center Raf had a successful technical and managerial career at International Business Machines (IBM), where he built global applications and networks for almost 100 clients. He is a graduate of Brooklyn Polytechnic University and an Executive Mentor @ Columbia University Executive Management of Technology Program. He is happily married with 2 beautiful kids.

    This is the second course that I have taken on the subject of Computer Networking. Overall, I thought everything here was pretty straightforward, and the course topics were well organized. I was able to move along the course fairly quickly and finish the specialization.
