This course teaches you computer programming in the Java language from scratch.
I’ll be typing all the source code in front of your eyes and we’ll be using Java version 11–12, taking advantage of many features that have been added to Java over the past few years including streams, method references and lambda expressions.
Along the way we’ll create a number of projects, including two desktop apps.
This is a completely updated and revised version of my popular Java for Complete Beginners course, which has gathered over 1.3 million subscribers on Udemy. In addition to newer Java features, this revised course includes lots of exercises to increase your fluency.

Thank you for teaching me Java. I am a 11 years old kid and very interested in coding. I found a lot of courses but most of them doesn’t speak proper English so it’s difficult to learn. They also didn’t tell me what you told me. Overall: 100/100 ?

The only Java course you will need if you are a complete beginner! I took John’s previous Java Tutorial for complete beginners before I bought this course. This is a revised and COMPLETE version and you will have all the basic syntax and understanding that you will need if you wanna move on to something advanced like Data Structures and algorithms. The way John teaches is very practical, no power point slides, not much theory, no copy paste code and will actually implement the code and solution so the student can easily catch up. I like this style of teaching, very engaging and not boring. The only con I can think of is I CANNOT enjoy other courses taught by different instructors anymore as I’ve been spoiled to his style of teaching, pure technical and none of the BORING stuff. Highly recommended and if you took this course seriously, by the time you’re done, with a little more practice, you will have a very GOOD shot at being a junior java developer.
