I think it’s a bit early in the course to have a well formed opinion, hence, the four stars; so far I like it. Juan doesn’t code like a maniac, so you can keep up with him. I didn’t love the video where he talks a about the files for this course, the image was so small, i couldn’t see anything. Otherwise, he explains well and I’m confident I will learn a lot from this course, so I look forward to it. Will revisit this review to re evaluate at the end.

I like Juan’s courses. Somehow I feel in good hands with his teaching style. It starts simple and than project after project make you an expert. And what is also important you have many examples to return to when you find yourself stuck on your own projects or other courses. Even if I don’t have time to learn something just now, i buy his course as a good investment and I like to think that I support his excellent work. About his bad English accent… Yes, it is bad (sorry Juan 🙂 ). But I got used to it, understand everything and wouldn’t change it for ( God forbid) some generated artificial voice. Don’t use it as a bad excuse to miss good stuff. And his courses, not just this one, are really good stuff.

I’ve already picked up something I didn’t know before. So much more than just a Bootstrap 4 class! This is one of the better classes I have taken. I learned what I needed to know about Bootstrap 4 and how to take that website and turn it into a WordPress Theme. I’m sure I will come back to the course to use the examples taught in the class.

Q & A responses are very late if they ever come. 6hrs was the minimum and the teacher didn’t solve my problem. Actually, he didn’t even try… So you better don’t get stuck anywhere or the whole thing wont work and you can’t move on, since nobody will care for your problems. Accent is not easy to understand (but you get used to it after some time) and the teacher not engaging and informative, at all. This whole thing just feels like the guy wanted to make the minimum possible effort to earn some money and the course is of very poor quality compared to competition (Lomidze and Traversy courses are miles ahead of this), so you better think twice before choosing this one. There are simply better options out there. There are PHP and MySQL involved , which is nice, but he never gives more than a mediocre and totally not exhaustive explanation of what the hell is going on while writing php, so you better have some previous knowledge or be ready to study the language by yourself to understand what you’re doing and why you’re doing it. Same goes with MySQL. Cheers

It is more a demonstration of what the author can do than explaining what each step is doing in details. Also the jump to the demonstration does not really show any instructions on how to get to the same screen as the author. Finally, I am upset that the author uses a non free application for the PSD images. Not every one can afford to pay a subscription to Adobe. The author could at least say that although he prefers to work with Adobe, here are some ways to use free alternative applications that can render the same result. Not fair at all !

I was impressed with the variety of projects that made learning how to use Bootstrap very clear. What I really liked was that the projects didn’t just use Bootstrap they also included a lot of custom CSS. This means that even though I am using Bootstrap, I can make each site unique by also using my own CSS code. The projects come with the starting code so you can code along, as well as the finished site files so you can check your code if something isn’t working. I’m glad I came across this course, and I recommend it.
