But why learn C# (C Sharp)? Well, there are a couple of great reasons – C# (C Sharp) will allow you to develop games, mobile apps, desktop apps and web apps. This means that if you know C# (C Sharp) well and can build desktop or web applications using it then you will always be in demand.
However, before going anywhere you first need to learn the fundamentals. Now, there are numerous courses, blogs and videos about the basics of C# (C Sharp) – so that begs a question: Why take THIS course?
That is a very good question and the answer is quality.
What do I mean by that? Well, simply put this course is not just going to teach you the basics such as what is an if statement or how to write a for loop that type of information is not worth paying money for in my opinion.
If you want to learn the bare bone basics, then you can get that information for free. But that is not going to teach you how to put those basics and fundamentals together in order to build something that works.
That s where my course comes in I will be going over the same basics and fundamentals of C# (C Sharp) but I will be doing that in a context of an application which we will be building from scratch.

I’m currently a full stack web developer. I was looking for a course that would teach me C# since my company is moving that direction. I’ve taken several programming courses, and I’ve learned that the best way to retain the information is to code along with the instructor. In this course, doing so was a challenge. The instructor is the copy paste king (which is bad in itself). So he’d say We’re just going to copy this code and flip to another file. Each time he did this I’d have to pause the video, figure out where he went, and then copy the code. This made the process extremely cumbersome. Also, the instructor tends to write references to methods that don’t exist yet and then implement them later. I understand his workflow, but this also breaks the Intellisense suggestions that VS gives you. It becomes significantly easier to make typos. I frequently had to go back and fix things that wouldn’t have been a problem had the methods already been implemented. Beyond that, he frequently says We’ll implement this in a little bit, don’t worry about it. The problem is that it makes understanding the code unnecessarily confusing. It’s far easier to understand what’s happening if everything is coded logically as it’s needed. I feel like I need to supplement this with additional coursework before using these skills in a professional environment, but In the end I did learn a ton about C#.

I’ve spent the entire first section (over 2 hours) leading up to the first exercise just sitting here watching the instructor code. Not once have I even opened up Visual Studio and done any coding myself. I see this as more of a referencing course, to be used when you need a quick video explanation of something specific. I expected it to be a practical course, and for this reason, I will not be completing it. The one good thing I will say is that the instructor seems to know his stuff really well and seems to be very up for helping students out by answering questions promptly.

A very good choice for somebody with some basic C# experience who wants to extends his C# skillset. Avetis a big plus for you for preparing a project based course that’s a great and fun way to learn! Greetings from Poland!

Good match. I am running .NET Core on LINUX so I’d prefer not to be in .NET Framework…

Tout fait selon mes attentes.

Excelente curso. Lo use como referencia mientras estaba en la universidad.

Way above what I expected. The Hands on project at the end of every section is a great idea. I would be surprised to find a similar course.
Christine Gerard –
This course provided a great overview with a good mix of straight forward and complex programs to demonstrate the concepts.

Excelente hasta ahora

Great course overall! I would appreciate some more interactive coding exercises and perhaps an overview of them to show the best/most efficient solution. I already knew Python so had some experience with OOP, this definitely helped. The amount of content in this course is great, it covers a wide range concepts.
