I am Hogan Chua, 28, from Melbourne, Australia. Basically, I teach individuals all over the world, how to make websites/blog/ecommerce stores without using code, html or any of that complicated stuff. My courses are for everyday people who are not particularly looking to learn web design, code, html and css and to build a professional career out of it. (although many actually do because there are still alot of people who have money and are not the DIY type and want to delegate tasks to other people.) These courses are more for those who want a blog, website and ecommerce shop up and running quickly, without having to hire anyone but also to have total control over the look, feel, edit whenever without complicated code. I'm not going to saying that I'm a professional who has done this for over 10 years, cause that's not true. I've been doing this for about 2, almost 3 years. Still learning, still discovering new things and hopefully I can pass on these skills to you guys. I first started because I was passionate about helping those like myself (wanted a website, didn't want to hire, nor had the money but wanted to control everything but without code). So I finally figured it out, with the help of Themify Drag n Drop WordPress Themes. I made my own website using the drag n drop system, absolutely loved it! So I made a video on YouTube and that was highly successful, helping thousands probably 10's of thousands now. So here I am on Udemy, hopefully providing some more value with bonus content! I gave this course 5 stars because it was an excellent course, and it was free. You can’t beat that! However, I did find one little knock, it’s not truly updated for 2019 as the title suggests. WordPress 5 was released in late 2018 and features the block editor. This course uses the classic editor and there’s a big difference. However, do still take this course and after getting WordPress installed, go to YouTube and search how to switch WordPress back to classic editor. All you have to do is download, install and activate the plug in classic editor. I have a little experience with WordPress, but it goes back six or seven years and I had no problem learning to build an e commerce site from this instructor. On top of that I have a learning disability and wouldn’t call myself a techie. You should feel very confident learning just the same from this course. Also, there are a few slight differences between the Shoppe theme and page builder he is using and the current version (11/8/2019), but it’s easy to work around that.

I loved this course and have invested a lot of time in setting up my own website using this theme. I have just seen that this is not a free theme and that to continue using it, I will have to pay for it. I was not aware of that upfront. Also, Hogan did say he would give a licence key for the first year. Please can you email that key to me on susan.donnison@gmail.com so I can continue working on my site and getting it published. Also, why is it saying I haven’t finished the course when I have? Saying I must finish the course to get my certificate. It was a great course and explained things really well. I learnt a lot!
