Linux has been my passion for around 2 decades. At first, it was the fact that everything could be done from a command line. I never left the CLI, still to this day, I twitch when I have to use the GUI for a task. I enjoy compiling 'Linux from Scratch'. I find it a very good way to learn and understand how Linux works. I am starting a new venture of teaching Linux online.

The videos are explained as a teacher to student. There needs to be more explanation and more examples and taking the time to walk through key strokes where we can see for ourselves what each thing does.

I have been a long time user of vi (vim) from 20+ years. Due to some operational commitments I need to switch to emacs. This course was helpful in getting me started. It was not tooooo long so I was able to complete it in a reasonable amount of time yet get the information I needed. Thank you!!!

The instructor seems patient and meticulous going at the right speed to keep up and digest what he is saying/demonstrating.

i’ve been using the command line and text based editors for 20+ years. this class helps to broaden my knowledge of editors and helps me when working with newbies who get confused easily.

Really interesting, I started with emacs differently, was using totally different keystrokes for everything… instead of C x f, I was using M f f, for saving M f s and others. What I find a bit inconvenient for C x f, it seems to be also doing set fill column in spacemacs and I have no clue when it does the one or other thing.
