The best thing about this course that is very complete, using professional tools (like XC8 compiler and not CCS). In addition the explanations are very clear and concise, direct–to–the–point. Total beginners may feel a bit lost with the rhythm, so a basic knowledge of electronics and microcontrollers is advised.

This is a great course learning how to use the newer PIC16 family. I used to work with the PIC16887 but the PIC16F18877 is much better and different in many ways – but still pin compatible with the PIC16887

An excellent course for learning about PIC16 microcontrollers. The course is fast paced and covers a wide range of topics. The instructor is very responsive to questions. Every lesson starts with a new application so that you become very familiar with the MPLAB interface and how construct your experiments.

Just like what I expected the first few parts of the course were carefully and slowly explained but the later part like the keypad and lcd are rushed. To make things easier MCC was used. How about using the MPLABX IDE for making the codes, not by MCC feature of the IDE. Also the way it is presented, the video is much faster than the audio part, hence it is somewhat difficult to catch up.
