    The Course

In this course, we’ll build our own game from scratch, using GameMaker Studio 2. This course is perfect for complete beginners, as you don’t have to deal with any coding.

GameMaker Studio 2’s Drag & Drop system makes it easy for anyone to create their own games. You can program your game using simple actions , and add functionalities such as moving the player, collecting a power–up, killing an enemy, and much more.

While Drag & Drop is easy to use and get started with, it still takes a lot of practice and knowledge to use it effectively and build a complete game. This course will help you understand how GameMaker Studio 2 and Drop & Drop work, and in 2 hours, take you to a level where you can start creating your own games.

I bought this course for my 12 year old son after I had completed the excellent ‘Building a Crafting Game: GameMaker Studio 2’, and he loved it and it encouraged me to find more courses for him to expand on his learning. He loved the explanations that came along with a lot of the core components of the course, and the extras; such as the dynamic difficult and allowing the player to select their own ship. I spent the entire time beside him as he went through the course and it was another great course by the author. I will continue to watch for new materials through Udemy and his YouTube channel. Strongly recommend it for both parents, and their kids, that might be looking for guidance through an introduction to GameMaker Studio. Keep up the great work!
