This is a great course so far, but isn’t complete. As of now it just stops with several key features missing from the application. You try to make a booking site for properties (think AirBNB). but there is no user authentication (not advertised as having user auth, but likely something you would need for this type of app), no actual checkout page (though the last chapter starts on this, but stops short) and no way to add new bookable properties without just editing the database directly. Once complete it will be a great learning resource.

Piotr holds a deep understanding of both Laravel and Vue. His code typing is fluid in both; he never pauses to consider how to call vuex state or whether some PHP function needs a forward or backslash. He’s good. There’s virtually no wasted time in recognizing that you, the viewer, know more about the subject than the teacher, i.e. stumbling through errors or a non best practice use of a controller. The course is well worth the money and doesn’t attempt to be an all in one masterclass. As part of my overall strategy to be the very best I can be in both Laravel & Vue, I highly recommend this course to help round out knowledge and see his experienced strategy to handle simple but real world situations. I would gladly purchase every course that Piotr authors and recommend the same to you. While there are many authors out there in the PHP, Javascript spaces, Piotr’s strategy is not to walk you through documentation, which many others do. His approach is rather, here’s what we’re going to build, an ultra basic hotel booking site, and even if you’re experienced, you’ll pick up tips along the way. Audio quality is excellent. Content is simple, no fluff, but follows best practices. I learned some new things. Recommended.

Piotr is very good. I like his sense of humor, one minute of shame, that was hilarious. But also in general he is good at explaining and takes it slowly. I think on the two complex concepts, Promises and scoped datesInBetween, it would have helped to very clearly state early on what the goal was, even perhaps describing it on screen as he did with corrections. But otherwise so far I am pleased and satisfied. I am hoping he will cover security API routes at some point.

I have the first course in Laravel by Piotr and I learned a lot from that course, in fact I did able to build an app for after learning from that course. The next step is this one and as usual , it also good but gave it only four star as it is missing the the authentication part which is very necessary to build a web application. I will surely make it five star once authentication is introduce.

1. If you don’t stop the lecture to get the code, the screen will switch within 1 to 2 seconds. 2. The process of finding a document reference has been omitted, causing the hassle of having to search and follow it. 3. You will have to visit the previous class to review the old code because it will erase it
