Great intro to Hooks! Reed always makes new concepts easy to understand. ?

In 15 min I’ve learnt two nice things I didn’t know. Though, the pace is a bit slow so I play the video at 1.5x and skipping the component class parts

The course is excellent. The instructor moves quickly and is direct and to the point, which is a good thing. He explains things well and moves incrementally, but there is basically no filler. That, again, is a good thing. Sometimes, I’d have to watch a lesson more than once and give it some thought, but that’s part of learning. His teaching method is excellent for gaining the knowledge and applying it without wasting precious time.

A great way to start using functional components with react hooks in my work rather than class based components and redux. Well explained and good examples. Thanks

I liked the pace of the course. I enjoyed that there’s a lot of practice. One important thing is the length of the course that allowed me to finish it in one day.

Presenter is doing pretty good job. But speed of the course is bit slower for me. Have to spent big time to learn small piece of information.
Robert Glover –
Unbelievably well organized, presented, educational, and imperative !!

Overall, solid overview of implementing React hooks. If you need a quick practical intro to hooks this will work. Needs to be updated to reflect implementing cleanup in useEffect as well as keeping dep array honest. Also Now has changed to Vercel. Felt like last section was rushed. Got excited for creating custom hook but seemed like it could have been leveraged for all API HTTP methods. Would be five stars if you update it for new info and add a section to suggest best practices for a refactor as a student exercise.

Loving this course. Reed has such a great way of delivering sometimes complex concepts. There is zero fluff in his content too we’re building stuff the whole time.
