Welcome to SwiftUI – The Complete iOS 15 Developers Resource Bible, the definitive guide to to learning everything SwiftUI.

This is a SwiftUI Reference Course / Cookbook  / and Set of Documentation, for everything SwiftUI. There are hundreds of downloadable examples / video instruction / and projects here so you can get the code you need and add it directly into your projects / create your own SwiftUI docs, or add this to your own existing SwiftUI docs.

My name is Steve DeStefano, i am a SwiftUI developer, and working together with the brilliant programmer J.D. Gauchat, I have turned his best selling book SwiftUI for Masterminds into this complete developers resource course.

If you’re not familiar with SwiftUI, it’s a new way to program that uses a declarative approach, which lets us build incredibly cool apps, using about 5 times less code than previous programming paradigms. Gone here are the familiar story boards, as well as auto layout, which was at times very frustrating to work with& this has all been replaced with intuitive new design tools within Xcode that make building interfaces with SwiftUI as easy as dragging and dropping.

Instructor Details

My name is Steve DeStefano, a long time iOS / macOS /watchOS instructor, and I created a SwiftUI course thats geared for the beginner and takes him all the way to expert level in a very short amount of time. You will start off by learning the Swift language, then the Xcode interface, and then we move into building apps, all using Apple's intuitive new design tools and framework, SwiftUI. And if your a big fan of Paul Hudson (and who isn't :) then check out my other courses, these were created from his best selling books and working with directly with Paul. Paul, as you may know, is the award winning Swift programmer who's teaching methods has been hailed as one of the best ways to learn how to code in the shortest amount of time, and he has received high praise from the creator of the Swift language, Chris Lattner. I offer a unique way of presenting his material, which is with callouts, highlighting and graphics, all to make it more understandable and easy to follow the path of the code. I've transferred many of his best selling iOS / macOS / watchOS / tvOS, and other books into lecture style courses, so you're getting the best instruction available for all of Apple's platforms. Along with my passion for coding, i also enjoy working with and training dogs, and together with my partner and master dog trainer, Akiko, we have put together the first Pomsky Care and training course here on Udemy. This is an in depth care and training course created for this relatively new designer dog breed, the cute and cuddly Pomsky, which will give you the tools and knowledge you need to find, train, and care for your perfect Pomsky.

The pace is rapid and sometimes difficult to follow because one statement seems to roll into another without a pause for breath

Steve does a great job of presenting a lot of useful information in this course while presenting opportunities to pause the lecture and implement changes he suggests along the way! The course also includes tons code to paste into projects. I’m learning many alternative and time saving ways of accomplishing things ,ore easily inside the Xcode framework, especially when it comes to not having to manually typing in view modifiers. I look forward to continuing to work through this course and am excited about future editions he will be adding to it.

I might as well just be reading the book. The problem with the book is that it is in ePub format and the code is often not formatted nicely for reading.

This course is absolutely BRILLIANT! Without a doubt the most organized and comprehensive course out there on this subject. You will not regret taking this class, but will be missing out on so much and kicking yourself badly if you don t. Steve is an awesome teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable, has a pleasing patient voice that builds your confidence as you go. Comprehensive videos corresponding with and walking through a top shelf companion book is the absolute perfect way to learn this material. The synergy created by combining these videos with the book is fantastic.

This is a truly excellent course. It doesn’t just skim across the top of the features provided by Swiftui, it really delves deep into the nitty gritty of the why and the when and the how. It seems to be exhaustive in terms of what it covers (newly released Swiftui features coming soon in an update) and the coded examples are clear and thorough. Absolutely no complaints and looking forward to the update.

Stephen is always excellent and enthusiastic. I love the way he teaches, mostly the clear and concise explanation. His friendly manner, makes the learner involve and progress higher to higher. Like all other courses, he has covered almost every area of swift language in this course. I am really enjoying the course and am learning all sorts of things. Here he has delivered exllent content in an easy to follow format. I really feel that I am learning swift pretty well and the lessons are sticking.

Even being as a Developer in the field for the past 10 years, I could grasp many overlooked points throughout this course. Therefore, I recommend this course to anyone from beginner to the advanced. Simple, effective and straightforward explanation to understand the protocol oriented aspect of Swift and SwiftUI. Well done Stephen, I am impressed by your ‘macOS development‘ course too.

This course is outstanding and makes it very easy to understand SwiftUI and everything you can do with it. So many courses just build an app without explaining anything. But, this course goes into great detail about how all the various parts of the code work and why. It is a tremendous addition to my Udemy course library.

This was an excellent course. This was the first course I found that showed you how things worked rather than just telling you to type in the following code.

The guy just sits there and reads the book. This is unusable, printed text is not suitable for listening.

This is one of the greatest detailed source about SwiftUI, it is about subjects that can be very boring but very very necessary at the same time, before thinking about the big projects. This is the ABC of the Apple programming language and Mr. de Stefano is great as usual, with short but effective examples, clean screens to take snapshots and downloadable source codes… Really it is a programmer’s bible, (even for a beginner like me)… Thanks for the extra effort to explain all of these, Mr.de Stefano. I’m sure I will rewatch this course from time to time, for the things that I will forget and, thanks to you, I can afford to forget. As long as I know where to find them… 🙂

Be careful! This course isn’t about Swift UI 2.0. All the examples are recorded with Swift UI 1.0, so there are files and techniques that are not used anymore (delegates, etc.). The author added just a mini video showing Swift UI 2.0, simply to explain that all the course seems different if you have the new system. Don’t buy it, if you start now!
