David Hepplewhite –
Yes, I’ve not used UE4 for over a year so this was really helpful. I chose Michael’s course because I’ve done other courses from him and I like the way he explains everything.
Jos Guedes –
Great course for total beginners. Nice presented, easy to grasp and the professor does it in an engaging way. I reccomend it if you are a total newbie to UE4.
SOPHIE Licata –
Only just started but I am really enjoying this! He explains things thoroughly and visually so you would have to have rocks in your head not to be able to follow along. Already worth the money and plenty more yet to do. Thank you!
Tom Hendrickson –
I’m just beginning this course, but so far it’s what I’ve been looking for in terms of a basic introduction to the Unreal Engine.
Deep Shader –
It’s only 720p very bad. Specially if you are on a 5k monitor. Mouse movement and shortcuts (for movement) are all Windows only. The most are completely different on a Mac.

Looks like this is exactly what I need.

Hey Micahel, Its was really smooth and full of knowledge. Just one thing I wanted to point out hope you don’t mind, I was hoping there were couple of videos about making some materials and adding different maps like normal, albedo, roughness etc…Otherwise it was an amazing journey with you. : ) It was my first ever online tutorial so I am really happy, I’ll surely share with you after doing my project. Hope to get more interesting and informative videos from you. Also if you can help me out with any good from basic to intermediate level UE material tutorials I’ll be really grateful. thanks again.

I’m new to Udemy, and this is the second course I attempted. I started another one for absolute beginners but found that the explanation for absolute beginners was lacking and the instructor unresponsive to student questions for 4 months. However, the instructor for this course made everything the other instructor should have spelled out from the start crystal clear by his more than adequate explanation of how to properly set up a scene. I appreciate his enthusiasm and mastery of the subject and will definitely take more courses from him. If, in spite of my warning, you are thinking of taking the other absolute beginners course, which is more focused on game creation and moves rather quickly along, and you’re actually an absolute beginner like me, I would suggest taking this course first. You’ll be much better prepared to handle other courses covering topics related to Unreal Engine 4.23. Thank you, Mr. Ricks, you’ve made learning this previously obtuse subject a pleasure.
Jim Fredrickson –
The course was very well laid out. Enough information in each lecture to learn and retain without being overwhelmed. A ton of useful information in a short amount of time. Would definitely recommend this course. Mike did an amazing job!
Robert Oswald –
Very informative, learned enough to start experimenting on my own scenes.
Grant Christie –
I was struggling to find my feet with Unreal. This course has been an excellent springboard for me. I am feeling more confident with the interface and using key tools. Thank you Mr. Teacher, Sir!
Mark Pinheiro –
If it successfully introduces Unreal to me then yes. So far, so good. It’s very basic. Little more than the UE wizard would offer.
Tim Fraser –
This is a great beginners course if you are looking to familiarize yourself with Unreal Engine. I have experience in other 3d software and was looking to get started in UE4, and this tutorial has made me feel comfortable and given me a nice foundation to build upon.

Allison Walker –
Very good course on learning all of the basics needed to operate Unreal Engine 4 as well as creating videos with visual effects through Unreal Engine 4.
Chris McAuley –
Really great primer for anyone either coming to the Unreal Engine for the first time. Or those like me returning after a year’s hiatus. What makes this course special is its emphasis on Animation a crucial part of game making many other courses do not have this.
Tom Logan –
Instructor is very knowledgeable of the subject. Demonstrates a lot of different features that keep you wanting more. Very engaging and articulate.
