Parsing JSON is an integral part of most of iOS applications. The new version of Swift introduced classes and APIs that make JSON parsing easy to handle. This course is all about JSON encoding and decoding using Swift language. You will encounter many different JSON responses and learn how to decode those responses to your models. This course is packed with real world examples and can help you gain a better understanding of consuming JSON APIs for your iOS applications.

Finally, someone who was able to explain Decodable and Codable properly. Best $$ money spent on learning more about Decodable.

This is the second course I enrolled under Azam. And I must say he is to the point and explains things very good. Thank you for this, I was always confused with Codable protocols and now ill be always confident with the same. 🙂 Love from INDIA.

This course gives all the details in a very logical order. It is outstanding and makes it very easy to understand JSON. Each lecture concentrates on a specific problem so it is very easy to find out how to do any particular task required when working with JSON and Swift models.

I took this course to achieve a solution and understanding of my particular use case… but I am finding even more value in learning how to handle any JSON case! I would have liked to see some implementation where variables are passed to the API’s URL and looping through the decoded JSON in a View I suspect this is something I might see in the SwiftUI course which I am also taking.

I found the first lectures slow, but I have to admit that the progression is very well done, and seen the importance of the subject (both personally and programmatically) the progression is very well done, and very pertinent. The course has delivered to my expectations: become familiar with the aspects of json encoding and decoding. Now i’ll start applying what I have learned. I highly recomment the course.

If you want to learn JSON decoding, encoding case by case, this is the course you have to take. I love the course because lecture planing is great. It is starting from beginner level, Mohammad teaches step by step and case by case and explanations are very clear. At the end you feel that you have mastered the whole subject.

Love the course and the very informative instructor. I’ve completed the course, and found Section 6 and Section 7 to be the most valuable for me. These are the sections that really taught me how to decode multi layers of JSON data, easily and with some repetition (I continued to add code to my examples, even after the completion of the lessons)! Mohammad is a very good instructor, with an easy voice to listen to. Thank you!
