This course elevated my confidence level to read javascript and really understand what an application is doing. The interaction with Mongo, express, and html is much clearer. Prior to this class, I wrote 2 other database applications (membership db and liability waiver app), which work ok; however, i think I could not improve and simplify those apps. Git and Heroku are now much clearer. I think I need a bit more experience on the front end, and that is my next challenge. Finally, Andrew is very thorough with his explanations. This is quite valuable.

Overall I learned a lot from this course. Lots of techniques and concepts that are applicable to other languages too not just JS and the extensive use of libraries and documentation help to set us on our way to creating apps on our own and discovering new libraries to help us do it. The only reason I have left half a star out is because sometimes the course went a little slow for me but I realise that this would definitely suit some people and maybe doesn’t suit others, it’s all based on preference. Andrew is a great teacher, knows his stuff and explains it well. Would definitely recommend if you’re interested in learning Node

I had an amazing experience with this course. It goes through a very engaging way of teaching node through 4 main apps. And the thing I liked most about this is that it doesn’t throw all the concepts at once and then develop something, rather it slowly introduces you to different concepts along the way of developing those apps. Each app has its own complexity level in terms usage of various libraries or design approaches.
