One Month WordPress is the best way to learn WordPress. I’ve been developing WordPress themes for over 10 years, and in that time I’ve created WordPress themes for The Black Eyed Peas, General Assembly, Toyota, Aldo, Agency Sacks, and New York Green Roofs. You ll get to take advantage of all that expertise to develop a WordPress page that s perfect for you.
Who is this WordPress course designed for? If you’re a freelance designer, I hope that after this course you can start offering custom WordPress blogs services to your clients. If you’re a business owner, I hope that you learn enough to build your own blog from scratch. Whatever your goals are, you’ll learn enough so that you can tweak an existing WordPress theme design.
In just 4 hours of videos you’ll learn how to build custom WordPress themes with:
As well as how to edit CSS styles on an existing WordPress theme. This covers the most common things you would want to build on a WordPress page.

I benefited greatly from this course. Building a foundation for theme development is what I got out of it. Although it could use some further explaining on a few topics, there are some aspects that do not necessarily follow best practices, such as how to enqueue stylesheets and scripts within the functions.php file. The alternative method the instructor teaches to dynamically pull external css and JavaScript files seems to work with earlier versions of php but not 7.0+. Other than that, he’s easy to follow and easy to understand. If you’re looking for a basic understanding into theme development, this is the course for you.

I loved this course. I have taken a few courses on Udemy and either they are way too general or they are not up to date and I spent more time trying to get the right version of software to work. This was up to date and easy to work through. I loved the length of the lectures as sometimes I only have half an hour to work and when the lecture is half an hour long you can double or sometimes triple the time it takes to work through it. I would gladly take another course with one month and would definitely recommend it. Thanks

Interesting and quick. Like someone who is friendly and has experience.

It was very enlightening. I have experience with web dev but all outside of WordPress. I had also read the whole theme handbook and explored various forums. Piecing it all together was tricky, and Chris consolidated it all into a nice digestible piece. Thanks Chris!

I did learn a few things from the course, but was expecting to learn how to build a wordpress theme from beginning to end going step by step. Felt that some areas needed more information provided instead of just skimming over them.

Hi, Happy Learning 🙂 I would love to let you know that your course is quite and to the point of theme development. I learned a lot through your nice presentation of becoming actual wp theme customization freelancer. I’m very glad to let you know I wanna work with you in this sector as a free. I would be happy to hear from you. Regards, Rakibul

Did not go into deep detail about custom post types/ taxonomy.. actually refused to explain because its to time consuming … The lessons learned could be learned on youtube… guys if you make these course make them rich with content. explain the nuts and bolts. Thats why we pay for the course. The actually site we built was below basic as i have prior wordpress experience. Keep learning everyone.. off to the next codeventure!

More of a outline, then a course. If you’re looking for an actual course, this is not it. If your looking for an outline on what OTHER courses/instructors teach, this could possibly be good for you. I purchased several courses, and this one was seemed like the instructor read a manual and simply recorded what he read (only the headlines towards the end of the course). He skimmed over a number of topics (I’m assuming because he didn’t know much about them) and also rambled on tangents a lot. There are far better courses out there for WordPress with instructors that actually teach.

I responded really well to the teaching methods of the lecturer, the course was very informative and has most definitely been a great help. Would’ve really loved if they made a follow up course going more in depth into integrating woocommerce and more advanced features into your custom wordpress theme.

I have learnt a lot of things from this tutorial
Etsuko Rosenblum –
somewhat I understood what he explained so far. However, when I am watching each video in section 3, I have more questions. It shouldn’t be difficult what the instructor explains but it gets complicated.

Great teacher, clear, concise, minimal fluff. Hopefully he will develop the course a little more, fatten it out so to speak. This course will get you up to speed on the basics really quickly.
