Product is rated as #4 in category Go

The Go Syntax Explained series was designed specifically for busy professionals who want to incrementally learn Go syntax on their spare time. You will not find lengthy projects here – just short, repeatable exercises.

Each of the three–volume projects are self–contained, but if you are going to do all three, this is the one to start with because it provides basic information that makes the other two volumes clearer.

What you will learn

To give you a more effective study environment, this course is purposefully limited in scope.
Attempting to cover everything about GO would not be practical, and it would do you a disservice.
However, you will learn quite a lot in a truly short time, and you can always return to repeat the exercises.

This is the first volume of a Computer Literacy Series with emphasis on the Go language,
but if you are already familiar with programming and just want to see Go syntax is written,
this course has taken your prior knowledge into consideration by keeping explanations simple and to the point.
It serves as a learning tool and a review tool as well.

Even if you have taken Go before, this volume is written to expand awareness on the subject.

Instructor Details

Name: Tony de Araujo Occupation: Teacher, technical trainer, and writer. Published author on Amazon. Research, development & engineering. Retired executive enjoying life while giving back to the IT community that has been part of my life for more than 45 years. Experience: Corporate IT trainer for over a decade, executive position in New York for 22 years leading a computer tech company, web development, general programming since the 80's, electronics engineering, rescue diver, musician, lifetime student. Special interests: How to cope with the effects of information overload. IO refers to the difficulty a person may have comprehending an issue and even making decisions due to too much data, too fast. It s important to become an intelligent consumer of information by eliminating, filtering out, or blocking any irrelevant data. To achieve this, we need guidance from someone who has already walked the path. Learners create (rather than receive) knowledge: Learning is not simply a process of absorbing information from others. Rather, it is a process of making (actively and intentionally constructing) knowledge and understandings. Pedagogic research is a form of self-study, or action research, involving critical reflection (and reflexivity) on current study practices. Pedagogic research gives way to new knowledge. It encourages investigating learning, including what works and what does not. If you ever find yourself paralyzed by documentation overload, take a step back as far as you possibly can, below your overwhelming threshold. Then, begin your journey again, but with caution. Rinse and repeat repetition is a key learning strategy. I've been around computer engineering and technology since 1981. As an avid researcher, writer, and teacher, I remain a lifetime student, but I've come to recognize that less is actually more. After working as a corporate instructor for a decade certifying thousands of IT professionals throughout the continental United States, I ran a tech company in the New York area for 22 years, but now I'm back as a teacher and continue my research on ways to diminish the IO epidemic in education.
