Great courses

I’m a software developer so I’m probably more familiar than most (2yrs). Still, bit of a slow learner so the pace is perfect and I’m sure it’s great for beginning coders too.
Brandon Rodenberger –
Yes
Daniel Grogan –
The instructor is very well spoken and describes everything in detail, so the student can understand the code. I fully recommend this course.
Konrad Zbro ski –
Explain with all the details, without unnecessary talk.

If you have a decent understanding of programming and some experience with game engines this course will help you familiarize yourself with Unity in a relatively short amount of time, course goes through a wide array of different concepts and will teach you how to work in both a 3D and a 2D environment. The instructor encourages you to take the lead as you follow along with him with challenges. Completing these challenges will help you get the most out of this course and it certainly helped me. Most of the concepts that are explained in this course up to date and are still useful however there are sections of the course that are outdated. Unfortunately you won’t be told if the section you’re watching is up to date or not and will have to figure that out yourself by following along. This leads to situations where you’ll get stuck while trying to follow the instructor and will have to figure out what to do on your own, you shouldn’t have to do that with a Udemy course. The video quality also suffers after the first project and the 3d section’s quality is worse than a youtube tutorial. Also 5 hours of the course is actually just outdated archived footage which is absolutely useless. Despite all this there are things you’ll get out of this course if you have programming experience, but with all the issues present I unfortunately can’t call this course a good investment.

I cannot recommend this course enough if you wish to get going quickly and effectively. I was amazed at how much I could do within the first few modules and how much fun I had doing it. I even felt sufficiently confident to often go ahead and try and work out what would be next or other things Could do based on what I had learned. It didn’t always work out, but I was able to make tweaks and changes that made the game slightly different with the code, but to have the same (or different) outcomes. Just having the various different approaches introduced and made to feel natural really worked for me. If you want to be up and running quickly and effectively, this is a great course to achieve that.

Amazing lessons.

Hands down one of the BEST Tutorials I’ve ever used! Not only does the Instructor explain and break things down very well, but he literally hits one EVERY aspect I was curious about for game development. Especially when it comes to the 3D First Person Shooter sections! I’ve done about 4 or 5 of these unity tutorials. And this is hands down by far the best one so far! Thanks for everything! Well worth it!

The course was great. It taught me everything I didn’t know about C# and unity. I have been exposed to Unity since 2015 and although i’ve taken university/community college courses on unity, it does not compare to how much this class taught me. The starting project was in depth and informative. I really enjoyed the challenges and format of the course. This course could have been better if the last 2 projects were not rushed like the first. Additionally, the last 10 hours is an old 2017 recording of the initial launch of the course. It should be updated. At times, I gave up because of the format of the class was not as good as the first project. TLDR it started off awesome but slowly went down. Still good. worth enrolling.

Right now the course is very slow and basic. A lot is talked about the fundamentals of C# and coding in general. For people who know how to code already but want to learn, how to use Unity, this could be a lot quicker. Alternatively I’d like an option to skip the explanation parts, wich I do by forwarding the video. Though you never know when Unity concepts will be explained too which would be a shame to miss.
Ekam Bhagchandani –
it was good and informative

The course is not updated to the last version and technology. There are several issues. ex: The mobile input build for android is outdated and not working for the space shooter. The NavMeshAgent combined with the CharacterController in de SciFi weapon dealer is not working, there is a new input system available that is not updated. The speaker is very good and also the way of teaching.
