If your phone were WordPress then WordPress Plugins are the apps! And of course, we all know that it’s really the apps that make our phones great. Basically, if you take this course you’ll become a WordPress app developer!

This course takes you from plugin idea to the final product. By the end of the course you will have a working email list building plugin (like MailChimp) and the skills to create, customize and sell your WordPress plugins online!

NOTE: During this course I teach you how to dramatically speed up development by leveraging two popular WordPress plugins: Custom Post Types UI and Advanced Custom Fields. However, your completed plugin DOES NOT REQUIRE THESE PLUGINS TO BE INSTALLED in order to work and I teach this in the course. Custom Post Types UI is a shortcut to generating the PHP code for WordPress’s built in register post type() function. Later in the course we include this PHP in our own file and no longer need CPTUI. Advanced Custom Fields is a library of functions that makes it easier to create custom fields and save post meta data. This course also covers creating custom fields from scratch without the aid of the Advance Custom Fields plugin.

e.g he is refering to other pages instead of explaining things himself. its learning by doing, in this case programming this plugin. I would have preferred more fundamental learning of wordpress plugins and all its processes , so i can develop easier on my own

I purchased this course while it was 11.99. I would not suggest buying this course for more than that. The Developer started off writing the code with us and eventually began just pasting in code and talking about it. Later on there are edits mid video and added videos with out resources. The Developer seems confused at certain points about his own code as to why things were wrote as they were. I hope the developer is doing well, he seems nice. This seems to be a poor reverse engineering of a plugin he created. But, I think it’s almost worth the 11.99 I paid for it.

It was one of the first courses I enrolled in WP Plugin Development and while at first I was rolling ok then I got stuck. Also I found the plugin to be made kind of boring as a project. I think instructor is good but maybe a wrong choice of project as testbed in my point of view. Hope to see other courses from him.
