I’m disappointed because it’s not what I thought after watching preview of this course. In preview: This course is about how to understand the basics of the engine; In course it’s like: Open my project, click this and this to get that. I’m already watching subchapter about adding lighting into environment, but I still have no idea how to even save your project! Do I know how to create new project and add my own resources? Nope. Do I know whether I should import meshes or create them directly in Unreal? Nope. Do I know what exactly does button Build or Play? Nope. I just know how to click things.

If you slow the videos down, it will help you. He goes too fast, and without explaining why he’s doing something. He doesn’t follow good software development practice, like using comments or organizing the assets. He’s an expert with Unreal, there is no doubt. He needs to prompt the student to try something out on their own. I did enjoy going through the ArchVis and Pinball parts. But I won’t be doing the rest. I did get a lot out of it, but with some frustrations on how he went about things.

The end key doesn’t drop objects to the floor as of version 4.25, either that or my keyboard is acting up.
