I find some of the information not very relevant and too much time is spent explaining/exploring basic things. Nevertheless, it provides an interesting overview of the many possibilities while creating a game.

the content is good i wish if we have 5 real full game examples i also wish if you shown a few games with balanced sheets excel sheets for balancing games arent there ;; i was expecting them i also think there are no enough examples on creating our own games no examples about publishers or how to print my games from available factories such as china for example or others… the course gave me the tolls but not enough skills thanks and hope you improve it in the future . good luck

There are a lot of things to take away from this class, and the resources are very eye opening and useful. However, there are more often than not that the instructor would provide inaccurate information e.g. the history of Snakes and Ladders game. Additionally, the instructor also shows a lack of professionalism when he said, and I quote draw your shit.

This course is Okay for beginners and young people, however leaves much to be desired for intermediate and more advanced students.

It’s a good overview of games, but as a regular board game player who wants to get into creating my own games a lot of this was obvious stuff from just playing games. I was hoping for more guidance on how to create games, a bit more structure and depth than just an overview of how games work. I would have liked to dig more into things like how to write a good set of rules or tips/tricks for reducing enumeration/play testing or getting the balance right up front. It was too hand wavy for me and lacked the depth I was looking for. The entire course felt only like an introductory module to a course. It’s like going to an art class and getting an overview of types of art and then saying just draw a lot and get feedback from family and friends and others on your drawings.

It was more basic than I expected, but the prototyping section did have a good variety of ways to make good prototypes.
